Question about Dual XDMR7710 CD Player

CDs don't always Play

I bought a new CD, played first time out, then when I tried to play it again, saw Error-0001 and Error-0001, anyone know what this means? Also, some CD's play and others don't - all play on my CD player at home.

I contacted Dual at: Toll Free Customer Support :1-866-382-5476 - the support person advised that if this was a purchased CD, I should, with the radio on, either disconnect the power wire behind the unit or the battery terminal cable for five minutes to reset the CD transporter. However, when I explained that I copied the purchased CD he explained that there is no guarantee for either copied or burned CDs playing (because, I would guess, of piracy laws).

It could be a few different factors.

Do you burn your cd's with a computer?
If so,what program do you use?If you use Nero,Roxio or any burning software of this sort, the data may not burn correctly resulting in an error during playback.

Another common problem can be the cd you are using or the drive it burns on.There are so many variables in CD burning that can lead to these issues. It happens to me a lot,so the solution is:

Use windows media to burn and it should go well most of the time.If you still have the problem,it may be the drive which can be replaced at low cost.

If they are regular cds you bought from the record company, than it is most likely the brand of car stereo you have. The laser could be damaged from putting scratched or damaged cd's in,or it could just be that the player is not great.

Hi There we just bought a C200 Kompressor and it doesnt play CDs - it gives a CDS Error , can you advice ?

Hi, My guess is that you have the wrong type of CD. Try another CD.
Some CD players will not play MP3's or others like that.
Thats why you are getting error code.

The CD player is not designed to play Mp3. You should be recording on to -R discs and use the same format as a standard CD.
