Printing 'bookfold' documents

Once a month I produce a document in Word using the Bookfold layout. Last month by Brother DCP-150C printed it all out fine. This month it will only print 1 page. Have I done something awful to the settings or what?

Does the print queue show that all the pages have been sent to the printer. Check the print screen to make sure that either page 1 or print current page are not checked. This type of problem is generally caused by the printing application rather than the printer.

Sounds like you need to go into Properties in the Brother, possibly in advance options for a setting that over-rides the printer settings for the page settings.

What happens if you choose a 1.5" right margin in the document.

Can i use my DCP 130C machine for photocopying? for small business. meaning iwill frequently use my machine for photocopying. would it be okey? What could be a posible problem in the future if there's any

You may use this a copier but usually, all in one printers used as copier take a long time to produce print outs. It isn't as robust as It usually scans the pages first (duration is the same as scanning a document) then prints it out (duration is the same as printing a document from a PC).

In my experience with our multifunction printer, a single page can be photocopied in about 45 seconds to 1 minute. It isn't as robust as photocopying machines.

Brother DCP-145C Print in black and white..?

As far as i know it will not work for color print unless all the cartridges are full. It will still print in b&w- go to properties of your printing document and change to "greystyle" but this will only work if you don't/have not turned off the machine at the power point. Once the machine is reset it wants to confirm all new cartridges and wont allow a black print until they are all in and full. So you cant use cartridges that have run out to "trick it".
I'm not sure if this is the intent of brother ( my guess is yes) a design oversight or a genuine precaution measure for consistency by not letting the printing heads dry out.
The yellow always runs out first, so stock up on them if you do alot of color printing- but the cartridges only last for 6 months so don't go crazy.

Brother if your reading this- Most of us don't care about color~! We just need a printer for uni and information. Make it work on our price range please!

Brother DCP-150C problem = nothing is coming out of the paper eve

Best thing you can do is first make sure all packing has been removed off the new ctgs, sometimes manufactureres have small tape covering the head which causes this issue, also if ctgs look good then go to print driver right click and go to properties and look for utilites or diagnostics and run full head cleaning to make sure there isn't dried ink clogging lines.

Hope it helps

Designing a document in book form and printing in Word 2007

When you select Book fold for your page setup, Microsoft Word prints two pages on one side of the paper. When you fold the paper, it opens like a book. This option is intended for documents that have more than two pages.
1. Set up your document as a booklet.
When you create a booklet, it's best to start with a new, blank document so that you have better control over the placement of text, graphics, and other elements. You can add a book fold to an existing document, but you may have to reposition some elements once the book fold is in place.
A. Start a new, blank document.
B. On the File menu, click Page Setup, and then click the Margins tab.
C. In the Multiple pages list, select Book fold.
If your document is not set to landscape orientation, Microsoft Word sets it to landscape.
D. In the Inside and Outside boxes, type or select the amount of space you want for the inside and outside margins (margin: The blank space outside the printing area on a page.).
If you need even more space along the fold to accommodate binding, type or select the amount of space you want in the Gutter box.
E. In the Sheets per booklet list, select the number of pages you want to include in a single booklet.
If the number of pages in the document exceeds the number of pages you select for a booklet, Word prints the document as multiple booklets.
F. Select any other options you want in the Page Setup dialog box.
G. Add text, graphics, headers or footers (header and footer: A header, which can consist of text or graphics, appears at the top of every page in a section. A footer appears at the bottom of every page. Headers and footers often contain page numbers, chapter titles, dates, and author names.), and other elements to your document as usual.
2. On the File menu, click Print.
3. Set options for printing on both sides of the paper.
If you're using a duplex printer (one that automatically prints on both sides of the paper)
Click Properties, and then set the options you want. If you have a choice of setting the page orientation and duplex options, select landscape orientation, and flip the document on the short edge or short side.
If you aren't using a duplex printer
In the Print dialog box, select the Manual duplex check box. Word will print all of the pages that appear on one side of the paper, and then prompt you to turn the stack over and feed the pages again.
4. Select the page range you want to print.
If you click Current page or Pages, Word prints the page you indicate, plus the three other pages that belong on the same sheet of paper.
If you click Selection, Word prints your selection using the default page layout instead of booklet layout.
