Just to the left of the output (speaker) terminals, near the top of the amp, there's an LED marked "POWER/PROTECTOR". If the amp is connected properly and powered on, the LED is ON.
If the amp is being used for normal speakers, use a pair of RCA cables and connect the left/right channels to the appropriate inputs on the amp. The switch marked "LPF" should be "OFF".
If the amp is being used with the channels bridged for a subwoofer, use an RCA "Y" adapter and connect the single "Sub Out" preamp output from the head unit to both amp inputs. The switch marked "LPF" should be "ON" and the crossover set to about 80-100Hz.
I have a similar setup & I just run the second amp straight off the other amp by running positive & remote wires directly from 1 amps positive & remote inputs to the others amps inputs. But my head unit has RCA inputs, (sub in & front & rear inputs) so from my 4 channel amp I run 2 6 inch alpine S's to the front to the front RCA inputs of the head unit, & 2 Pioneer 440w 6x9 inch speakers to the rear inputs. & my 800w 12 inch sub from my 2 channel amp to the sub woofer inputs on the head unit. Has blown my eardrums for nearly 12 months now great stuff!

With a 5-channel amp (stereo L/R front, stereo L/R rear, and subwoofer) you only need the two pair of stereo inputs.
You do not say which brand and model of amp you have, but most have an output configuration similar to the Alpine shown in this link. Connect the front and rear RCA's from your receiver, your vehicle speakers to the respective output terminals, and your subwoofer to the 5th channel terminals.
remove all speaker connections to your amp. MAke sure the inputs are driving all 4 channels, and that the built in crossovers on the amp are all set to full range. Conect your full range speaker to each output channel one at a time and verify there is oputput on all 4 channels. If all is ok, then connect your rear speakers to the front(a) outputs of your 4 channel amp, and then use the second 2 channels (rear or B) bridged to drive the sub. Re-configure the crossovers for highpass for front (to drive your rear speakers) and lowpass for sub. This is the proper way to connect a 4 channel amp with a sup whle driving 2 full range speakers.
A single 4 ohm speaker wired to each channel, like you have them wired, presents a 4 ohm load. And it appears that you have them connected properly. The 401s is only stable to 4 ohms when bridged, so if you were to parallel the 2 4 ohm subs in bridged mode, the load would be 2 ohms and the amp would most likely overheat and go into protection.
I'd wire them the way you have them wired.
Each channel of the amp outputs only 100 watts into 4 ohms. That is adequate for regular full-range speakers, component speakers, mid-range drivers, and even some small subs. But it is a little low on power for most subwoofer applications.
This should work if channel 3 & 4 are bridged at 4 ohm.
channel 1 should be stable at 2ohm
channel 2 should be stable at 2 ohm
You can hook up the right side speakers together ( + with + and - with - ) . same thing with the left side. this will give you 2 ohm each channel. this will cause your amp to run hot (this might be tuff on the amp). It will give you right (2 speakers) and left ( 2 speakers ), no front and rear adjustement if you need to balance your sound. I think you should be better buying another amp for your sub and take your 4 channels for your 4 car speakers. this amp as a rca output that can feed the other amp ( sub amp ). it is possible to do it.
sounds like you need another amp, if the amp has a speaker already connected to each channel, you have no open channel to connect a sub-woofer.
Some years ago I seen an amplifier that was designed to use 3 speakers on 2 channels. what they did was had a speaker on each channel and then they bridged the 3rd speaker across it. That amplifier was designed for this configuration, unless you have an amplifier like that you should not try it. It may result in smoke from the amp.
I do not reccommend that you push the Pioneer speakers over 100 watts. The jenson will already drown the car with bass through your pioneers so much you will want to turn off the bass boost when playing some low bass hip hop songs. It changes from one venue of song to another, so I just keep the jenson bass boost off and use my head unit to adjsut the sound to fit my listening prefences. I am telling you man, you will be blown away . Hook up the pioneers straight to the Channels,. do not bridge. I put Subs in my truck though. I used the Pass output to send the audio to me Jenson 2 Channel 600W amp. I drive one 10 inch enclosed JBL Class A/B Sub. I bridged the output of the 600 W amp to the 10 inch sub in my Z28. The pioneers never get drowned out. I did smoke my 2 channel Amp one time. and also took out a MTD 10inch sub. I am talk shooting flames and smoked the whole car up. I think if you bride the XA4150 to the pioneers, you will have the flaming smoke problem in no time.
