How can active wifi asus eeepc4g - ASUS Eee 4G Notebook

    I have the same problem. im using win xp and the blue light is on. but i could not connect to the internet. pls help. thanks

    What operating system are you using? Standard Xandros Linux or Win XP (or other) ? Do you have the blue light (at the right of the front border) on ?

To make sure that your camera is not broken go to google and search for Manycam. If you see download.cnet.com download Manycam from that site or you can google download cnet and search for it from the site. Install Manycam and run it. If it works, that means your driver for the ASUS camera is missing or corrupt and you can try to find it on ASUS's support site to download and install.

I need to change boot settings to boot from usb stick and can't access bios setup as it needs a password. I bought a used Eeepc4g.
To reset the BIOS password read the information from this link.

In case of your laptop the easiest method would be using software from Hiren's Boot CD as it's pretty hard to open it up and reach for the CMOS battery or the jumper.

Save yourself some money and don't repair it ,buy an external webcam it's the best thing to do. much less you will sent, than having it repaired. Look around for one.
