Question about Computers & Internet
I have a FUJITSU PI 1536 with a boot up problem, this machine as been working flawless up until about a week ago, then all of a sudden i have to keep pressing the on off power button to try and boot up, sometimes it could be half an hour pressing the button sometimes 10 mins, the led lights come on for a few seconds then go off no beeps, hard drive does not boot and a blank screen, if i keep turning on and off eventually the laptop boots up and loads with no problems, and it will run as long as i have it turned on, but when i turn it off i have the same problem again, i have removed the battery and the hard drive to try and boot to no avail same problem, any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
I am running windows xp home add with 1gb memory, thanking you in advance.
Back up your data from the hard drive and then use your xp disc and go into recovery console and run
and fixboot and fixmbr and try again.
Also if you find out the manufacturer of the hard drive and go to there website you should be able to get diagnostic utils to test your hard drive.
Also if you go to www.memtest86.org you should be able to burn an iso disc to boot from to test your memory.
