I have Canon Powershot 520 camera. How to get date and time on the picture?

Hello,
according to page 55 of the user manual you can embed the date and time into the image only when "postcard print mode" is selected. Make sure you have already set time and date as shown in page 22 of the same manual. You have then to select "date stamp" in the "rec" menu then select "date" or date&time" using the right or left buttons, and confirm with "ok". Then you shoot the photos and time and date will be embedded in it.
You can download the user manual here:

let me know if this helped you, bye

How do I display the date on pictures

The date stamp only works in the "Postcard" resolution. Press the "Func Set" button, scroll down to the bottom to select postcard resolution.

Once that is complete press the menu button. Select the "Camera" menu, then scroll down to the Date Time Stamp selection to turn it on.

Canon PowerShot S3 Is

The date and time (and a lot more) are stored with every picture in its EXIF metadata. Any photo viewing/editing program should be able to display this data. To print this data, please consult the documentation for whatever program you're using to print your pictures. Depending on the program and printer you may print the date on the image, in the margins, or on the back.

Need some1 2 explaint to me how I get the d&t printed on the photo for a canon powershot 1S camera please

you can Print the date and time to the picture when you take the print of it. It does not embed the date and time data into the image itself.

From the manual please read this
" Setting the date and time settings does not cause the date/time stamp to appear on images"

To print with date
This option will be available only for printing on card size paper

In the print order screen, select [Style] and press the SET button

You will get 3 options to set
1) Image
a) Standard b) multiple
2) Borders
a) Borderless b) Bordered
3) Date
a) On ( Adds the date to the print )
b) Off ( Prints without the date )

Select Date option as On and the date will be printed on the picture.

still you are having any doubts, please refer to user manual and Direct Print User Guide
which i am giving as links here.

How put date on print picture when I use canon powershot s 500

See page 113-114 of your user guide. If you no longer have yours, you can download it directly from Canon:

http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900001340/PSS500IXUS500CUG-EN.pdf

Note that printing the date will require printing directly from your camera to a printer (Direct Print).

If it prints at all it will be part of the image. But will it? Not all camera have this function and only your camera manual will tell you if your does[there is a more comprehensive manual on the supplied CD]
