Unscrew the back and look for the little handle sticking up over the release spring. It has a small + and a- on either side. CAREFULLY push the handle to what you want (-) but do NOT put your small screwdriver down so far you interfere with the spring mechanism. I ruined 2 like that. Hand screw back on, time with a good quartz and set until you are happy. Most run plus/minus 15 sec a day.

Balance spring in your watch is sticking together and causing the watch to run fast. It can happen when watch gets magnetized or there is some oily residue left on balance spring. To fix this you will have to show your watch to the watchmaker, because this is very specialized job to do and the balance spring is so delicate part, it can be damaged by simple touch.

My rolex daytona is gaining 2 min over-night

Your watch needs overhaul (means service ). When the time goes by, the oil used for reducing friction is reverting itself to the slimy residue, so, starting to slow/speed the watch up. Every watch, no matter what make it is, needs a proper overhaul every 2-5 years (depends on watch movement).

My Seiko Pulsar Dress PJ6010 was running fine until it seemed like the battery was going out. I had it replaced and a few days later it stopped again. Could it be the battery gain? I have had other PJ6010...

D you mean battery drain, not gain? Possible other causes are: Maybe you got an old battery put in, this does happen sometimes. Or, maybe the lubricants have dried out causing the gears to get sticky/gummy and causing excessive battery drain. I use an instrument than spin the movement and loosen up sticky gears after using a spray cleaner.

Omega Seamaster gaining about 10 minutes per hour

Hi honestfunguy. Take it back! Omega watches are usually guaranteed for 2 years or even 3 years (Co-axial escapement), so you should not have a problem getting it repaired under warrantee. No way should it be be gaining (or losing) 10 minutes per day, let alone 10 minutes per hour. Could be any number of things, from a broken mainspring to problems with the timing regulator, but they are very complex watches and should not be looked at by anyone apart from Omega whilst in warrantee, otherwise you'll probably void the warrantee. Hope this helps; Eagle58

I have an Oris BC3 which was never a great time keeper; gaining or losing 5-10 seconds per day. Recently, it started to gain at an alarming rate and I took it to be cleaned and regulated at a watch...

Take your watch back to the watchmaker and ask to regulate the watch again. After a decent repair watch shouldn't loose or gain that much and if properly regulated and tested can keep good time. ORIS is using the same Swiss made ETA movements as Tag Heuer, Ebel, Montblanc, Tissot, Maurice Lacroix etc. These are very good mechanical movements and can be adjusted to allmost perfect timekeeping.

Seamaster running really fast gaining about 10min/hr!

the hairspring may have jumped up over the regulating pins effectivly shortening the hairspring this requies a watchmaker to repair.
