Iam unable to view the pictures I took with my former Easyshare. It says unreconized-file format. Is there a way I can view the pictures taken with my old camera?

Many cameras will not display pictures that were taken with a different type of camera. You should still be able to view those pictures on the original camera, a computer, or a digital photo frame.

If I may make a gentle suggestion, use your camera to take pictures. To display them, use something better suited for the task.

Viewing images on computer as they are taken

The P100 is not designed for tethered shooting. You can connect it to a computer to transfer pictures after they're taken, and to charge the battery. You could use an Eye-Fi card to transfer pictures as soon as they're taken, but again that's after you've taken the picture.

My DSC W90 is 4 years old -- I love it -- and I've never had problem -- with it until now. It rotates pictures on its own! When I view the pix that I've JUST taken, they look fine. When I turn...

Hello,

If you have an exceptional amount of pictures on your camera...This could be a simple problem solver? You need to remove some or all your of your pictures from your camera to create more memory and storage.

You have a couple of options

Save all your pictures to memory card, from the memory card save to your computer in a file or to a USB Flash Drive (Cruzer), or on a CD/DVD disk.

Or, install a new Memory card that has more Storage Capabilities.

You need to check your setting as to how the pictures are viewed and stored, it's possible you have your camera set to auto rotate and also auto set format...change these settings to manual!

Kind regards!

Once u zoom into the picture that is very far away how do u keep the picture zoomed in after u snap the shot ...

Once you've framed your shot (zoomed in) and taken the picture. That's it, the picture you've taken is the one in your view finder, and that's the way its kept.

However, if you want to zoom in further, you can using the software you were provided with your camera, you can, you can also zoom in using your camera menu. Once happy you can then save the edited picture. But this time its a digital zoom and it will reduce the resolution. The picture won't look quite as fine. It will be a balance between picture quality and the extent you want to zoom in.

I want to transfer pictures from my laptop to the memory card in my Coolpix

You'll have to use a card reader. Despite the name, a card reader also lets you write to the card. Be aware that if the pictures were taken on a different type camera, or if you've done any editing on them, you probably won't be able to view them on the camera.

How do you look at pictures that you have just taken?

Press the Home button. Touch the right-pointing arrow to enter Playback mode. Here you can view the photos and videos you've taken. You can also rotate, protect, delete and crop your photos and you can protect and delete videos. You can also go into thumbnail view to see more than one picture at a time.

Record/viewing pictures already taken

I would like to thank the team at FixYa.com for responding to my problem with the quickness I might add. I didn't ask the experts however because I was, after several hours, able to download the manual online. Thanks for your assistance and speedy response.

To view still photos taken from canon dc-210 dvd camcorder

Sounds like you're using the "cine" setting.

Switch the camera on.
Move the "cine / photo" switch (it's just above the joystick) to the "photo" position (i.e. to the right).
Use the joystick to move between images.

Good Luck
