The speakers should have a label that states operating voltage. It will read "Input: 12vdc or 9vdc or 7.5vdc"

Ac to dc power supply failure

The current capacity of the power supply may be insufficient for the camera. Use an ammeter to check the actual current draw of the camera.. Check the voltage of the power supply with a voltmeter at the camera while in operation. If the voltage is several volts less that it's rated output, then the supply needs to be able to replaced with one with a larger current capacity.

Connected wrong voltage power supply to my mixer when in Hong Kong.

If you have the polarity correct for the connector, and adequate output from the transformer with adequate regulation and filterning, there should be little problem with constructing one or hacking the cord off the dead supply and wiring it to a new one.

The question you need to ask yourself is whether that wait is worth it? If you need it to make money with it right now- then just use care in wiring the new supply up. I have lost track to how many times I have rewired a supply to make it work on something it was not originally on. As long as the specs on the new supply match those of the old one- no problem..

Mislaid plug to my Packard Bell Laptop Windows 98. Where would I purchase a new one or second hand one.

Would have to know the model, but you might check your local thrift shops, especially the larger ones.

Here in Texas, several cities have a Salvation Army computer store that gets all the computer donations, great place to find stuff like that at a fair price.

Otherwise, you can get a 'universal' power supply that comes with various 'tips' that also set the right voltage for the laptop in question. Generally, you can find them for around 90 bucks, but they can often be found on sale for less...sometimes much less.

I'm getting no power to my speakers when i turn on the power wheel on my speaker, the blue light doesn't come on...all drivers check out and device is "working properly"is this a sound card issue?...

I assume you use a set of PC speakers with own power connector.
If the power connector is plugged in properly and the power source is operating flawless, then either the power cable or the internal power supply are broken.
The soundcard has by 100% nothing to do with the voltage control of your speakers. All it sends is an audio signal (Unless you relay on USB speakers, in which case the power actually MAY come from the computer, but I excluded that since you said you're using a soundcard, and those don't provide USB output).

Summary: Cable or PowerSupply or Power source not operating properly. (Or the switch). Either way, you should not open any high voltage electrical components as that may lead to a deadly electrical shock. Please consider an electrician or buy new speakers, if switching the power source doesn't help.

Hum in speakers SR 277

This may indicate a ground loop problem. Try to have the power supply for the speakers and the music source plugged into the same outlet. Try another connecting cable if possible.

It's also possible the power supply for the speakers isn't working correctly. There are filter capacitors inside whose job is to smooth out the voltage that would make such hum. They may have bad connections to the circuit board inside (a common problem) or may have gone bad. You can check for and possibly repair these problems yourself if you've done any electronic soldering, or see if a TV shop in your area would give an estimate.
