Paper jam display

Most printers have a lid in the back of the printer that you can pull out and then just pull the paper out from there. You can also see the paper jam if you pull the paper tray out and try to pull it out from there but pulling from the back of the printer is much more easier and convenient.

Hope this helps. If have the model and printer information I might be able to give you more information. Sometimes even a tiny bit of paper will give paper jam error so it is necessary to clear it completely.

My HP Laserjet 4L has started jamming paper when I try to print more than one page.

Here is some tips to avoid paper jam..

  • If your printer has a paper tray do not fill the tray to capacity. If you're encountering frequent paper jams, reduce the amount of paper you place in the tray each time it is filled.
  • Make sure you or the tray feeding the paper into the printer is aligned properly and the slider used to hold the paper in place in the tray is snug with the paper. Many printers have sliders that allow different types and sizes of paper to be fed into the printer. If the slider is not properly positioned it can cause paper jams.
  • Use standard office paper; folded paper, paper with labels, and specialty paper such as hard bound paper can often cause paper jams. If you're uncertain with what paper you should use with your printer your printer documentation will list the paper compatible with your printer.
  • Do not mix the paper you're feeding into the printer at one time. If you need to change the paper or size of paper being used removed any other paper currently in the printer before inserting the new paper.
  • If your printer uses a slot or tray for the paper make sure to not push the paper too far into the slot or tray.
  • Examine the printer for any previous stuck paper in the printer. Previous paper jams, torn paper, printing labels or other foreign objects in the printer can cause reoccurring printer jams.

I changed the printer cartages I put the paper on the tray and it took allthe paper and jamed' How do I get the paper out?

You can follow these procedure to clear the Jammed on your printer.

1.Remove the paper tray (Installing and removing the paper tray).
2.Disconnect the power from the printer dock for 5 seconds, then reconnect the power.
Carefully remove the paper if it does not automatically eject.
IMPORTANT:Check the paper slot on the back of the printer dock for jammed paper:
3.Remove the paper supply from the paper tray. Carefully "fan" the paper to keep the sheets from sticking together.
4.Reload the paper tray. Do not exceed the fill line.
5.Re-install the paper tray, then press to resume printing.

Error Tray... says there is no paper in the front tray and to fill and hit "ok". There is paper in the tray, but still says the tray is empty! What to do???

This sometimes happens when there's just a few pages in the tray.  Try filling it, and make sure you push the tray in firmly.

If you don't push it hard enough, it sometimes fails to register.

If you've tried these, then the printer may be broken.  If it's within the warranty, take it back or send it for repair.

Panasonic FP-7781 paper feed issue

I forgot to add to the paper lift issue, which might be the reason for your 'paper jam' error:
Take out the paper tray/s, make sure that there is no paper caught in the back of the machine. Sometimes paper can block sensors that makes the printer think the tray is up.
Also double check your trays. There should be a little flap that you can use to manually move the paper lift. Make sure that that's not broken.
One common cause that I found with all copiers is that people fill up the tray and then push in the tray harder than it should be pushed, which will loosen the guidelines, and with most new machines, will throw codes if the paper size is reporting to be different to the one you have in there.
And that's a second common cause, the paper size. Sometimes if the paper used is different to the size shown on the machine, it will stop the print because it's expecting a certain size and the sensors didn't see the correct size.

Have kodak easyshare g600 printer dock

Here is how I solved this problem. If you pull out the paper tray, you will notice two small, white, push pins under and to the right of the pinch rollers. Dip a cotton swab in isopropyl alcohol and use the swab to push each pin in and out a few times, thus cleaning the pins and the holes that guide them. Give it all a minute to dry and reinstall the paper tray.

OKI PRINTER B4250

You have accidentally pulled the back paper tray. Even when pulled a little, this tray tells the printer to deliver output to the back. This is useful when printing on heavy, or thick paper. Just push it back all the way down to it's original place.
