Question about Dell E173FP 17" Flat Panel LCD Monitor
I have a Dell 8300 Desktop PC with 17" LCD monitor. It has developed several vertical lines of noise approx 20mm wide on the screen. Running in safe mode creates lots of large square pixels with rainbow colours. I have tried replacing the video drivers but the computer tells me it's running properly. It has been taking ages to boot up recently but I put that down to a new AVG antivirus program. Any ideas?
I've swapped the monitor for a CRT and the problem's still there

You have capacitor problem in power supply, if many lines then replace the bigest cap and find anymore that needs replacing. Its an AC filter problem.
