I do not know who to set up my webcam on my acer

I do not know how to set up my webcan i need help I have an aspire 5610 with win XP home edition incoperated. I try to attach webcam - fist trust wb1400t with driver cd - second windows vx 700 wich needs no driver - but the laptop doesn't find nor the first nor the second one! (Both work on a fix computer without problem!)
It must be a problem of the laptop set up, but which???? I tried to install the trust webcam which has the driver cd manually, I changed the USB port, I downloaded the driver from the trust site...nothing to do!
All other periferic things work normally...
Please help me! Angi

Have you tried going to your device manager under universal serial bus controler's to see if your cam is in the list and checked to see if it is enabled?
