Kelvinator fridge/freezer problem

My freezer has stopped working, each time we have to get it to work, we switch the whole thing off for four to six hours and then switching back on it works fine for about three to four days or so, and then ice starts to move up from freezer compartment to fridge, Please help, is it a thermostate problem.

It could be a thermostat but is more likely to be a defrost problem. If it freezes up within a short space of time I would suggest contacting a fridge guy who should be able to diagnose either the defrost heater, defrost thermostat, defrost timer or thermostat. Hope this is of some help.

first look for an air vent in the bottom of the fridge(a small grill on the inside wall) & make sure nothing is blocking it, like bread eg: if there isn't then unplug your fridge & let it defrost, check the drain outlet in the back of the freezer, sometimes a small item like a frozen pea gets into the drain & the water freezes around it causing the air not to return to the freezer from the fridge, to push air into the fridge you must be able to get air out or it presurises,

Refrigerator freezer

Hi bb
The warming of the fridge is not to worry thing and about the freezer you should do some defrosting work time and again .
this would help in defreezing a bit .

and if you want it to get less warm turn it off for a little time.
