Had this washer since 1995 & operated without problem. Problem has developed suddenly as follows:
1) Very slight leak ( maybe 4 oz ), seems to be from rear of machine, when filling on wash cycle.
2) When agitating, the tub runs slightly off center, accompanied by a thumping sound and slight visible deflection of the front cabinet panel.
3)When wash cycle drains, a substantial leak ( more than a quart )occurs beneath machine. Most water pumps out the drain hose. No noise on spin.
4) Rinse cycle fills tub, but again some leakage beneath machine, perhaps a quart.
I'm guessing some sort of bearing / seal problem.
Is it worth fixing ?
Any ideas will be appreciated ?
Thanks Much !

Re: Kenmore 110-91564100 Top Load Washer Problem
Sounds like my 91 Geo Merto LOL!
Anywho when it washes the pump spins one way and water is basically thrown back into the tub, then when on spin it spins in the opposite direction and if there is a hose leak past the pump or the pump itself leaks it will come out of the drain system.
As for the thump, check under the unit for anything that shouldnt be under there getting caught up in the mechanics.

To bypass the switch, you only have to disconnect the power to the washer, tilt the console back, unplug the switch and using an short piece of insulated wire, jump the two outermost contacts on the connector coming from the console and plug the washer back in.
Following is a description of how to gain access to the console and how to remove the cabinet if necessary.
Hi, Check the pump. Tip the washer back after the load finishes and see if the pump is dripping. The pump is located on the front side of the motor. If the leek seem to be in the front center of the washer, it is probably the pump. I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Open and close lid, listen for 'clicking' sound. If no 'clicking' sound, check/replace lid switch. Also try tightening the lid hinge screws on the left side. if these screws come loose, the machine will not operate
