See this link http://rickspcparts.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=5564 cheap and easy just to add new fan. This is a really nice fan, but youcan buy cheaper as long as you know the size in mm.

Hello
Uninstall All drivers and software for ati card. Take card out.Put card back in. Reboot pc.Reinstall drivers.I dont think the 128 mb cards Came with a fan.The 256mb did.

All the same, check your pc fans are working and clean. Also disable any onboard motherboard Graphics. You will need to do this in the bios.

Possible card was not seated right in agp slot,or drivers were corrupt.

Sounds like its overheating. I would first start by making sure the card is clean and dust free. Also check all fans inside the computer. Add or replace fans as needed. You can even add a fan to the GFX card. http://www.ritzcamera.com/product/EP5128564.htm?utm_medium=productsearch&utm_source=google

Hi
Check that the GPU fan (s) spinning (In fact all fans), If not shut down immediately. New aftermarket fans can be sourced. Also check that fans are clean with NO build up of dust, if clogged remove card (With power cord disconnected and you earthed to chassis) and use vacuum cleaner or compressed air but lock fan from spinning.

Fan problem with an ATI graphics card in a Philips PC

If only the fan is the problem, it can easily be replaced by someone who knows what he's doing. Unless you have a lot of experience with things like this, I do not recommend you do it yourself, as there is a risk of you breaking the card. I would suggest you take it to a computer shop and ask someone there to do it for you. If replacing the fan doesn't get it to work, the card is probably broken, and you will need a new one. I hope this helps, Yannick.

Ati or nvidea? which is more reliable and well built for dell

To me it is probably personal preference. I have always like Nvidia, and I have had a couple of systems that had ATI. Nvidia to me seems more stable and more reliable. You might search some sites for benchmark comparisons

ATI Radeon HD 4800 keeps crashing

the problem is either that the game doesn't support lower graphics, the game starts in a high res so u can't see to lower the graphics, there are 2 solutions here but only if the game supports lower graphics, either try to search for the game from the programs tab in the start menu and then you may find options icon or sth like that, or un-install the game and then re-install it, as for the heating of the card you may notice that it has some sort of power slot on it, this is used to plug in a cable from the power supply either directly or using a cable converter that came with it

Fan not working

It can. but it can be a number of problems as well. How long has it been since you cleaned out your computer? How long have you had the computer? Do you play a lot of games where the video card would be used a lot? Here's some things that you can do to maybe fix your problem. 1. goto: start -> run type in "msconfig" goto the last tab "startup" and disable all. restart computer 2. goto: start -> all programs -> accessories -> system tools Now...in this menu you'll want to do 2 things "clean disk" and "defrag" (both of which will most likely take hours of doing) 3. Get a heatsink to put on the video card where the fan was and that should do the same thing as long as you have a good fan in the PC. On another note, you could probably get another fan to put in your system (especially if you like to play a lot of games on your PC)
