You need a service manual or rescue kit from http://www.TheServiceManualShop.com

Simply cleaning the waste ink pads will not make the printer work again. You MUST reset the firmware counter to cancel the error code. The Service Manual Shop offer a rescue kit which includes everything you will need to sort your machine. Drop them a line or visit their web site.

The task is quite easy and should take a ham fisted amateur about an hour. So you should be able to sort in about 30 minutes!

You don't need to open your printer, simply reset the error code.
Try "SSC Service Utility", http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml
