Question about HP iPAQ H2210 Pocket PC

Stange battery performance???? - iPAQ h2200

The OEM battery for the iPAQ h2200 is a 900mah battery, and I recently purchased 2 extended batteries for it that are 1100mah. I fully charged the battery and the iPAQ indicated 100% battery remaining. It operated perfectly until it reached around 50% battery remaining, and all of a sudden my screen started to fade and the unit was off! The battery was completely dead, yet just before it died it indicated 50% power left!!!! So I charged it for about 1 min and turned it on again and it still indicated right around 50% battery left!!! After using it for a minute or two it died again. I charged it completely and again it died at 50% power left!!!! It still works fine with the original battery! Out of interest, the 2nd battery I purchased lasts until 20% then dies!!! Is that not bizarre or what!

My question, has this been encountered before? I am assuming there is a problem with the battery, but before I start fighting for a replacement, I would like to know if this would be a fault of the indicator. Maybe you can shed some light on WHY this would happen???

Surely the problem is with the battery ask for a replacement, try to find one which has the same mah with the battery you got along with the phone.

F-S1 battery life is too short

The Torch's battery life is notoriously short. I would suggest you purchase an extended battery for the phone.
There's a few different options available for you:
You may purchase an extended battery, but it requires a different backing.
Or you can purchase another battery and swap them out.

Extended:

why not buy a used android phone and fix it up..

HP Ipaq does not turn on

Ufortunately, the battery is likely the culprit.
You can try removing the battery overnight, then leave on charger for at least 12 hours.

These batteries generally require replacement every 1-3 years. They deteriorate quite rapidly if left unused/uncharged for extended periods of time (like a year!)

HP-iPaq 2215 battery replacement

Hi, Jim--
When you take the battery out of an IPAQ you're performing a hard reset. I've got 4 different IPAQs and it does the same thing on all of them.
My solution was to back the IPAQ up using the internal backup program (back up to IPAQ storage) and then replace the battery, then restore the last backup.
Saved me a heck of a lot of time. It's been hard to remember to back up everytime I add a program or change data majorly, but it's probably the best thing to do.
