Sounds like something else in the power supply. The surge inrush current could have blown the bridge rectifier. (device which changes AC to a pulsating DC for the power supply). You may need to have the power supply serviced or replaced.

Potentially so, however I would get the TV fully checked over by a professional if it has been subject to a surge. If a component further down the line caused the initial surge replacing the blown cap will only result in another bang as soon as you plug it in.

I doubt there is an easy fix but your situation suggest that you have a bad ground on that outlet and a short in the tv tried to go to ground through your cable itself. Plug in an "outlet analyzer" to both outlets. They are under $10US at supply stores such as Lowes and Home Depot. Through a combination of lights, it will report the status of the outlet

What you described is a failure in the power supply circuits for your display. You would need a wiring diagram and expertise. internal exchangeable fuses are rare anymore. They are usually a set of diodes which must be desoldered.

My electric went off yesterday and when it went back on my tv wouldnt turn on it was working fine before the power cut we have changed the fuse but still nothing is there anyway i can reset it to make it...

you said you changed the fuse. (inside the tv)double check to see if its blown agian if not. keep it unplugged for about 20 minutes to reset the surge protector onboard . if you have done all that the fuse didnt protect your tv from the surge and it gone. IF ITS CONNECTED TO A SURGE PROTECTOR unplug it from that and plug directly into the wall TRY THAT FIRST let me know if this works.

I'm not familar with that particular TV but check in the menu. Some TV's have to be set to digital and default to analog.

Samsung clicking on and off but not coming on

The bang you heard was probably a capacitor. Since you are still hearing the TV attempt to power on, your power supply and it's fuse are likely fine, but if the capacitor was on the mainboard, the TV would require service unfortunatley.
