Re: Xbox 360 - Oblivion IV - loading probs

Next time the game is loading, try clearing out the cache. You can do this by holding down the A button while the game loads. When you see the Oblivion title screen come up, your cache should be cleared. This may clear up your issue. If that doesn't do it for you, you can try to clear the cache out another way. There are many websites that can assist you with that. When in google, search for: Clear XBOX 360 cache. Hope this helps you.

My Xbox keeps making me update games that i got off the marketplace, mostly Gears of War 2 and TES IV: Oblivion, any idea whats wrong?

There's nothing wrong with the games being updated as this is normal for Microsoft to do. Games also update with games that are played from disk too.

My games are only loading about 3/4 then everything stops, the spinning curser and the loading bar. Iv tried even brand new games and the same happens.

This has happened to my game console as well. There is nothing you could about this apart from giving it to Sony or any other people that repairs game consoles to repair your game console.

Halo 3 prob wont let me go past level 4 says disc error

you can try installing the game onto your hard drive and then playing it, or try to get a new copy of the game. the xbox number is 1-800-4MY-XBOX

the only way i know to clear the hdd is to do it manualy from the dashboard.

When playing a game keeps crashing

Yep this is the EXACT issue I had so the only solution is call
1-800-4MY-XBOX and you will be recieving a new xbox because the problem is to expensive for microsoft to fix so they just send you a new one.

The Repair and Shipping is free they send you a UPS Tracking Code and Code where you can keep track of your xbox at all times.. but when I did my repair they require you to use your own box now due to people reconiseing the big white box and ended up stealing it now biggie though a box to put the 360 in is only 4 bucks and they will pack it for an addition 60 cents. but mircosoft will tell you all this I'll ******* now and please 5 Star this will prob be the best and only solution.

Freezing during oblivian

Oblivion uses the Xbox 360 hard drive to cache game data and in some cases the info stored on the hard drive can get fragmented, slowing down the game's performance. Bethesda has already found out a way to fix the issue. Here is the official word: Oblivion uses the Xbox 360 hard drive extensively to cache (copy and reuse) game data. This is done to optimize all loading the game does. It has been found in rare cases on some Xbox 360s that the cached data can get overly fragmented. This exhibits itself by the game taking a long time to load anything from menus, dialogue, sounds, objects, levels, and more. To solve this problem, reset your Xbox, and hold down the A button as the game is booting up. If any button is held while Oblivion is loading, it will clear its hard drive cache, and create a new one. Once you see the ?Bethesda Softworks? logo video, the game is already loaded, and the cache should have been cleared. Note, this does not effect your game in any way other than loading. You will not lose any saved data.
