If you do not need to keep anything on your phone ....Pictures, text messages and such then i would suggest to reformat your phone. Go into your phones settings and down towards the bottom should be back-up and reset or restore click on that and click factory reset. This will erase everything on your phone and factory reset it like the day you bought it. That should free up tons of space and just pick and chose what you wish to add back on to it.
go to settings -> master reset -> reset all it will erase all data except contacts and msgs
to format mamory card go to file manager and then go to memory stick section go to more menu go to memory status select memory stick select more menu select format M.S.
you can delete msgs manually by going to inbox and selecting delete all msgs from more menu.
just had someone tell me to take the memory card out, turn on your computer, delete the pictures on your internal memory and then put your memory card back in. Make sure you know where your pictures are stored in your computer before you delete something you may want.
Just go to massage setting n back up the massage to mamory card . n for permanent setting go to setting then mamory setting n then select mesej default mamory from phone to mamory card ...
when saying memory full that does no mean the text messages memory is full it means the phone's memory is full, the messages are saved on you sim card so try deleting some app on you phone
