You can log on the website of your laptop manufacturer and try to look for your sound driver which is compatible on your pc. they can have a download section thee with free charges or you can try also the site for downloading your driver @ www.cnet.com and try to look for your driver. thanks

Acer extensa 4620z sound problem

If you cant hear sound, go to Control Panel and make sure your audio device is installed correctly. If audio device has yellow mark, or some error, reinstall your audio device drivers. If you don't have Laptop CD, you can download your audio driver from here: ftp://ftp.work.acer-euro.com/notebook/extensa_4620/driver/Audio_Realtek_v5.10.0.5423_XP.zip
If your audio device has no problem in Control Panel, make sure your sound is at maximal level. Hope this helps.

Hello i have no sound on my pc

If you are hearing NO SOUND/AUDIO on your PC. Make sure you have installed the correct sound driver.
========================================
Installing inappropriate sound drivers may result in NO AUDIO/SOUNDS.
Check your MOTHERBOARD MODEL and the AUDIO device type/model. And download the necessary installers.
If you have the Motherboard CD with you can install it on your system and check if its working or not.
=======================================
Thanks. Cheers!

There is no sound device on your system.

Go to PC makers website, find exact model, then for free, download all sound drivers, and sound manager software, to PC. Install as Administrator.

I have lost all sound. Do I need a new Sound Card ? On my Acer Veriton 5200

Here is a solution : On desktop go to ::
my computer----mouse right click----properties----system----device management. There you can find symbols for all devices that are already installed on your system . Scroll down until you find the definition of your audio device software , for example , if your audio driver software is a realtek then right mouse click on it , then you'll find disable , just disable it and then uninstall the audio driver software ! After that you should restart your system . When system started again , install the software again , and restart the system once again . Now you should hear the operating system starting tone .. If you didn't hear the tone , then go to device management again and enable the audio device once again .
good luck . rate if useful please !

No sound or voice from the pc?

Have you installed the audio driver? If you have installed an audio driver, it most likely an incorrect one. To check if you have installed a correct audio driver. Go to the Control Panel - click on Sounds and Audio Devices - click on the Sounds tab - click on any of the Program events and click the play button. If you hear a sound from the speakers the audio driver is correctly installed. Also connect a headphone to the laptop and repeat this test.
If you don't hear any sounds and the play button is greyed out, it means the correct version of the audio driver wasn't installed.
You can check if this is true - go to Control Panel - System - Hardware tab - Device Manager and look for any devices that have a yellow ? against the device. This indicates a device driver is required to make this device work.
You need to download the correct device driver for your model laptop, and it must be a XP or Vista version that matches the Windows version that is installed on your laptop.
