Those are pre-sets. I would adjust your set the way you like to watch it. Don't use the pre-sets. Some sets will let you change the pre-set controls and others not. If your can, then adjust it the way you like it then save it as personal settings.

I nave a toshiba 55.in plasma tv model 50hp no picture just sound

Problem with a Plasma is it can be:

Power supply issue in set.
Almost any board pulling voltages down.
Main signal board that controls everything bad.
worst case is display panel (entire front screen unit) bad.

Best advice is get it to a shop and get an estimate.

Hi,

The best setting really vary from person to person. However, on an average, the below settings seemed to be best :-

Picture mode: Custom
Contrast: 30
Brightness: 30
Color: 50
Tint: 0
Sharpness: 50
Color Temp.: Cool
Pixel Orbiter: Every 1 minutes

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Hold down the power button on the PS3 for about 5 seconds. I think you will here a beep. The video output is now reset to standard.

Playstation 3 is on however the tv screen is

Since I don't know if this has worked for you before I can only give you advice. I'll do my very best to help you in whatever way I can.

If it's a new system I need to know how you have it hooked up. I'll start by having you troubleshoot some things:

If you want it hooked up through HDMI connection you'll need to hook up both the composite (Red White & Yellow) cord that came with it; along with the HDMI cord.

Turn your console on and set your TV input to whichever input the composite cable is hooked into.

Assuming you have picture:

Go to your settings and select Display Options. At the next menu, you'll want to switch it from composite to HDMI. Your screen will go blank.

Set your TV to whichever HDMI input you have it hooked to and you should see a display. Confirm if necessary.

If you still have no picutre:

What I would initially do then is make sure the system is off, turn your TV input to the correct video settings for the composite, and when you turn it on, hold your finger on the power button for a few seconds after it's on to set the default picture display.

You should have a picture now. If not, it could be your TV. Try these same steps on another TV.

Please let us know if you're having further issues & Good Luck!

Respectfully,

Don

My ps3 doesnt show any screen on my regular tv anymore !!!

You will need to change the display settings back to normal for a standard TV. Obviously a little tricky if it's already hooked up to the TV that won't display a picture! If you do a manual (or is it called total reset?) this should revert it back to standard TV settings. To perform the reset hold the power button down for 10 seconds (I think it's 10 anyway) or until you here a couple of beeps and it should reset the display settings to it's default.

Hope that helps? Sorry I cant be more exact on the reset details.

HDMI and Non-HDMI for xbox360, is there any difference in gaming?

well the hdmi will give you a better picture and pretty much all games support the hdmi. but the big one is the difference btween 1080i and 720. 720 may be your best choice for a tv because most games use that as there base setting and thats what there meant for. although newer games are coming out with 1080i as their prefered setting

Ps3 reset

turn the PS3 off. hold the power button for at least 5 seconds or until you hear another beep.
This should reset all your ps3's settings.  If you have an HDMI connection, wait for a couple of seconds so that the PS3 recognizes and negotiates the right video output for your TV.
