Blue and whit screens of death. these are hated as if it is the video card you will need it replaced. if it is the screen then replace it . to find out try it on an external monitor. if it is still white, you're laptop is toast! the internal graphics card is fryed and cannot be removed. either get it fixed or buy a new one.

do not attempt to fix it your self it will only be worse.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

White screen after turning on laptop, have to reboot

It's sounds like the lcd is going out.

But it could also be GPU related.

Try updating the motherboard firrmware / bios

Updating the Video Drivers. If that produces the same results then more than likely the lcd will have to be replaced.

Let me know if you have any more questions.

Abrupt loss of signal to monitor.

May be your Video card. Try a different monitor to see if it is working. If not you may need a new video card.

Screen suddenly blank on FujitsuSiemens AmiloProFB21

I am thinking that the Video Resolution went off, so you have to try entering Safe Mode by pressing F8 until you get a menu in black and white...

Then, select Safe Mode. That would reset your video resolution.

Then, reboot the system and let it boot normal. See if it is fixed.

Possibly Video Card problem?

Mikolan,

That is so crazy.
You say you previously was able to see the POST screen and now you can't?
You say you switched monitors and card outputs to no avail? Is the card an ATI with an aux Molex power connector?
Is the puter actually going into standby or hibernation?
Have a boot disk? or a PE?
How about a Linux self-install distibution CD. Just kidding about that last one. Not really, you can see if the puter does respond.

Don't rule out a faulty power supply. Video card fail is usually one long, two short beeps at POST. or 8 short.
