I dont know how but the (-) volume button on my CLIX must have been pushed in too far or something and wont work. But if i press harder i can feel it seem to click the button, but still nothing happens. Is there a way to open it up and fix it or am I screwed?

-   Same problem here. Volume buttons don't work, otherwise working fine. Best solution I have found is to use headphones with a built-in fader. -   aegrumet

You can open it up by getting a small flathead screwdriver or something like that and wedge it somewhere in the back in the rectangle shaped crease. Then you can lift up the piece and use a extremely small screwdriver to get the screws out and be able to lift up the screen. But if your clix is still under warranty I would suggest sending it in or something.

Wait, do not open it straight away! Here's what I did...last night on my clix 2 4gig...

Put your fingernail underneath the two volume buttons and pull TOWARDS the screen, as if you were going to prize the unit apart with your bare hands (Don't do that obviously.)

As you pull towards you, press down on the volume buttons in turn as much as possible. It's best to have the unit switched ON at the time just so that you can establish whether or not your efforts have any impact on your dead volume.

Do not overpull, it's more of a gentle pressure rather than anything else. After a while you should see that familiar speaker outline and the vol level indicators reappear.

You will be one cheery bunny and live happily ever after playing songs at volumes more suited to your ear drums :)

Best of luck.
