Your board appears to use a VIA AC97 codec, thing is there are several of them based on your exact chipset. Download CPU-Z to determine the exact codec you will need and simply go to this link and download the correct driver.

Post your results under this thread, especially if you're still having problems...

Sound drivers

the sound card can be an onboard chip, built into the motherboard or a card installed into the mother board and thus more information is needed to assist you. You can get into device manager and delete the sound card driver/ items and then restart and windows could redetect it, or you can get the proper driver package from the motherboard, computer, or sound card manufacturer to reload it. I also can remote into the computer to determine what's wrong and attempt to fix it.

Can you give more info on the computer, motherboard, sound card or manufacturer of system ?

The page I posted has the drivers for this motherboard,
chipset,video,sound,lan.

For windows xp, if you have a different version, just clear the search under operating system and pick which one you have.

Xp pro sound card driver

Your Motherboard should have come with a disc which has all the necessary drivers. You can go to Microsoft Updates, they may detect your on board driver need. Or, when all else fails, purchase a PCI Sound Card which will have a driver included. You will need to disable the onboard soundcard in your BIOS if you go this route.

System unable to boot and showing signs of motherboard audio device conflicts(device type realtek)

hi iasmeer,

-to just boot up without any sound device,
remove any soundcards from the PCI- slots, disable the onboard sound device in the BIOS!
It looks like you are facing IRQ conflicts, your computer cannot handle all the hardware devices installed.
to solve this,
in BIOS set IRQ management so that the BIOS handles the PCI devices(set everything to auto),
disable the plug'n'play-operation system option to prevent windows from doing the same thing again( it'll then just take the IRQ information provided by the BIOS)
now enable the onboard sound device and make sure you have all
the drivers for the onboard devices(sound, LAN-card etc.) fitting your operation system on CD or thumb-drive, boot up and install the drivers.
Restart and by chance everthing isO.K. by now.

if not, please come back with more information on the sound device(onboard or not) and the winversion, so we perhaps can find you the appropriate driver(if you don't have it on the CD you purchased together with the mainboard..?)

Good luck

Problem with driver of sound card.

Hi,
Go to...
control panel, system, device manager, look in the list at the bottom, sound video& game controllers, click this, double click the lower tab under it, driver dialog box opens up, try roll back,
if not there, click update the driver,
Let it search the internet for it.
should be good, if hardware ok.

Hope this helps
Regards
Richard.

Sound driver is properly install but the voice is not come out .please give your suggestion.

when installing the drivers check that the drivers are related to that hardware only. some drivers from other sources will install but will not work correctly.

if you have installed drivers from the original cd that came with your motherboard(if onboard sound) or the sound card (pci card). then let windows search for the driver in the cd. you don't select the particular driver.

first uninstall the drivers you currently have and then reboot the sys and wait for the system to find for the new hardware device. then choose the option
-> search in the removable media
and then insert the cd.

if this doesn't solve the problem.
check in the bios settings, advanced option that onboard sound card is on for onboard sound
and this is off for internal sound card.

if your motherboard has Realtek sound card then go the site and download the new driver. check the correct ALC codec.
if you are using internal sound card like creative. then download the updated driver.

and also check in the control panel of windows of the "sounds and audio devices properties"..,

in the first tab your sound card name should be visible and in the third tab in default device your audio card name should be specified.

hope this helps

MY MOTHERBOARD SERIAL NUMBER IS INTEL K0B810DSMT... I CANT GET SOUND ON MY COMPUTER..PLZ HELP

Check your speaker or headphone. If OK Install the sound driver again. Restart. Go to control panel----Sound and audio device, enter there. Can you maximize or minimize your master volume ? If you can than you have problems with output speaker or audio socket on motherboard. Replace if needed. But f you can't move volume bar on control panel than your onboard sound adapter is bad. Add a new sound card.

No sound

most of the LGA 775 comes with something called PCI Device which is also known as Microsoft UAA Bus Device. Once The PCI Device is installed it will automatically detect the sound device. unless u install the microsoft uaa bus driver it will not detect your sound device. so u need to install microsoft uaa bus driver before installing the audio driver.heres a link u can download the UAA bus driver
