SOURCE: Roper washer: Slow fill on hot setting

You can really thank the government for this- your washer has a 75/25 split valve (75 cold 25 hot--- so warm is mostly cold) which they mandated for all standard top load machines. In 2010 they are banning manufacting of all standard top loaders. The thermistor is because your machine has a ATC (automatic temperature control) system. It has a computer which monitors water temp for better laundry care. You could possibly have a repairman (this wouldnt be covered under warrany) try to retrofit a older service valve in your machine.

Kenmore 70 series heavy duty plus washing machine model # 82374800 . Water drains out faster than it goes in, partly on the floor. Hot water barely comes on

i don't know. for drain, if in a stand pipe, it seems the drain pipe may be partly blocked. if hooked hose runs into sink, sink drain may be partly blocked, if drain water comes out too fast, consider a tywrap to hold a small towel around hose end to stop splashing. do not block the hose outlet.
low hot water flow may indicate supply hose is restricted. please shut off both cold and hot water supply . remove and inspect hot water hose for blockage. some hose have a screen filter in the end that needs cleaning.
if practical, connect the hot water hose to the hot tap and run water into sink to test for a good flow.

LG Washing machine IE error code Solutions

An IE error code will appear if the washer has not filled with water in approximately 8 minutes.

Are the water valves opened completely?

If an IE error code appears on the washer, check to make sure both hot and cold-water taps are open completely. After both valves have been opened, unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.

Are the inlet hose filters clogged?

There are filters on the inlet hose connections of the washing machine. They are intended to filter away mineral deposits from hard water and other debris from getting into the unit. If clogged, water will not flow through these filters into the washer. Turn off both the hot and cold water taps, disconnect the inlet hoses from the back of the washing machine, and clean the inlet filters gently but thoroughly.

Are the inlet hoses attached properly?

If the inlet hoses are not attached to the machine correctly, it will prevent proper water flow to the washer. Turn off the hot and cold water supply then disconnect and reconnect the inlet hoses. Ensure that they are threaded properly. After the hoses have been reconnected, open the water taps completely, check for leaks, and unplug the washer for 10 seconds and retry the wash cycle.

NOTE: The inlet filters are inside the hose connections on the back of the washer. Because of their small size, take care when removing and cleaning the inlet filters so that they do not break.

My Samsung 7.5kg top load washing machine is over filling..is there a sensor or something to correct this

yes
it is connected to the bottom of the tub by a small hose
it sits up top and as the tub fills , air pressure acts against a preset spring tension and switches the water solenoids off at the same time it starts the wash
the problem is probably the water inlet solenoid / valve that is not working or the diaphragm is split
to test , change over the cold and hot water hoses at the taps and press the hot water button
if the flow stops at the required setting it is the cold water valve unit

Machine wont fill with hot water

problem in hot water tap
hot water solenoid not activating to let water in
to prove either switch the hoses on the taps and press cold water wash
that proves the tap
then press hot wash and that proves the solenoid

When i try and start the washer it hums it won't fill it spins just won't fill

Hi and welcome to FixYa, I am Kelly
Turn off the water at the wall connection remove the hoses noting the positons of HOT and COLD. Then clean the inlet screens in the water valve. (lift out by using a knife blade on the outside of the screen) Wash the screens by rubbing your fingers ofer them under slow running water then reinstall them.

Before you start try a hot wash.. and then cold wash to see if either has water coming into the machine. If it works there is a way to back flush the water valve using a warm water wash. You remove one hose and stick it in a bucket. Turn ON the other hose and let water flow into the bucket while gentily tapping on the hose connection with a screw driver HANDLE. Reverse hose connections and repeat hose in bucket and tapping on hose connection. Reconnect both hoses then try HOT and COLD wash fill cycles. Let me know what happened.

Hot Water pipe is not connected. Cold water is ...

The best way to stop your situation is to connect the hot hose to the hot tap. A hardware store should have a female cap you can screw onto the back of the machine, or get a male plug, same thread as a tap and plug the end of the hot hose. Elevating the end of the hot hose may help..It's normal for water to flow out the hose as you've described...Good luck...Nomess

Kenmore 80 series washing machine - cannot get

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. This sounds like either the hose or the water inlet valve screen is clogged. Possibly the pinhole inthe diaphram itself of the water valve. Here is what you can do.

1. Get a bucket
2. Turn off BOTH water valves at the wall.
3. Remove the HOT water connection at the water valve. Then check the inlet screen for debris. You can remove the screen from the water valve by using a knife blade on the very outside edge of the screen tugging outward. Hold the screen up to the light check it for debris. If it is dirty wash it under a light flow of water in the sink. DO NOT reinstall just screen just yet.
4. Use a measuring cup or something similar to catch water at the water valve HOT connection. Select a WARM wash cycle and start the wash cycle. Let the water flow into what ever it is you use to catch the water exiting the HOT water connection.
Tap on the cold water hose connection to try and free the debris inside the water valve as the water is flowing. Do this a few times until you have let water back flow through the water valve for about 20 seconds.

Machine timer off.

5. Reinstall the inlet screen in the water valve and reconnect the hose. Place the HOT water hose in the bucket and start the WARM fill cycle again. This will flush the hose.

Machine timer off.

6. Reconnect the hose at the wall connection and turn on the water at the wall.

7. Select HOT wash and test water flow. It should by now be (fingers crossed) flowing.

You can repeat the above for the cold water side if you need to.

Thanks for using FixYa,

Kelly

No water is getting into the machine

hi from uk assuming you have checked the stop taps are turned on ? there is electrical supply to machine? check plug fuse ? machine req's electric to function the inlet valves hot/cold at the rear of machine where the hoses fit to valves if all ok above? then turn off the supply hoses where they connect to house hot/cold supplys (under sink?) then disconnect hoses from stop valves then with a suitable bowl/bucket undrneath each stop tap slowly turn each one on a little to see if water is flowing ? if so? reconnect hoses if your stop valves are not allowing water flow ? you will have to check the stop valves for operation and possible blockage ? follow the above checks as suggested in order and come back with any info or success ? or if you req further d i y help best wishes
