Canon Ixus 900 Ti - image quality we seem to have changed a setting which now gives poor image quality when downloaded - the image is blurred and not sharp. how do we change this back?

Check to make sure that you have the correct driver on your computer. If not, go to the Canon site and upload. That should solve your problem.

You have problem with convergence. Have you tried adjusting in the users menu. This is a common problem in this type of TV, usually two convergence amp need to be replaced and sometimes sets of resistors are also to be changed.

Problem: dust in the gaps near lens which makes it jammed. Effect: the sceen shows blk color. Solution: just blow over it or vaccum it.

On the IXUS 900 you can not use black and white, although you can change it to black & white when you go to print it in the shops or on the computer in programs like adobe, zoombrowser or windows.

Is th camera shake indicator on when you go to take pics? Are you pressing the button half way to allow the camera to focus?

you can recover your images by using the "recover my files" program.

all you have to do is connect your camera or the card to the computer and recover using that software.

I don't have this model of Camera, but I think you should be using the same Canon software. Try going to your PC, go to Programs and going to the Canon Utilities folder. You will see a CAMERA WINDOW folder that has another CAMERA WINDOW folder that has a CAMERA WINDOW application. This should allow you to set the way you can download images to your PC. You can tell it to have your camera have the download options and have new images downloaded by date.

try setting your camera's auto balance into Automatic or Outdoor. So the camera could adjust the light or diable flash.
