I've activated internet connection, but when I want to set wiiconnect24, there's a message that the Wii standby is set to OFF. When I click on the agreement it's the same message. But in both cases there are no options to change stanby on or off. Please help !

My Wii is all plugged in but the light is out like its unplugged. we keep unplugging and plugging it back in but it is still not working, how do I fix this?

I think you are asking about the slot illumination for the wii this is how you change it:
  1. Access the Wii System Settings.
  2. Move the cursor over the blue arrow on the right and and select it once to reach System Settings 2.
  3. Choose "WiiConnect24."

The following options will be available:

  • WiiConnect24
  • Standby Connection
  • Slot Illumination

Choose Slot Illumination
Slot Illumination (Bright, Dim, and Off)

WiiConnect24 can let you know when it has received data by making the Wii console's Disc Slot illuminate. Select the option you want, then confirm your selection.

Bright: The Wii's Disc Slot will display a bright blue light when WiiConnect24 has received new data.
Dim: The Wii's Disc Slot will display a dim blue light when WiiConnect24 has received new data.
Off: The Wii's Disc Slot will not blink when WiiConnect24 has received new data.

When wii is off the light is orange, not red

When your Wii is off and the light is orange, that means WiiConnect24 is on (you are connected to the internet)
If the light is red, that means Wii Connect24 is off (you are not connected)

When i turn my wii console off, instead of a red stand by light a orange light appears.

Orange light means Wii is still connected to the internet and is ready to download any updates from the net even if the machine is turned off.
This option is called Wiiconnect24 and you can disable it from system settings if you don't want it to be connected, then the light will turn red when you switch it off.
I think it's a good idea to leave it on myself so it doesn't make you wait while it installs updates next time you turn it on.

What does it mean when you close the wii console and instead of having the red light appear, you have a yellow light?

It means that WiiConnect24 is still active.

WiiConnect24 allows the console to receive downloads even when the console isn't in active use, as long as it has a working connection to the internet. The types of information that can be received include News and Weather, messages posted to the Wii Message Board, and any messages sent by Nintendo about new Wii console features. When I shut down the Wii Console, the light changes only to yellow, only after I unplug the power cord and plug it back in does the red light come on.

It means you're in Standby mode (WiiConnect24 is on). When WiiConnect24 is on and you only briefly press POWER, it goes to yellow so you can still recieve WiiMail and other internet-related stuff while the Wii is off. If you HOLD it, though, it turns off for real. There's nothing wrong with this, so don't change anything.

I recommend only holding it as a last resort, like if it freezes.

When WiiConnect24 is off, though, it won't turn yellow, just red. KEEP WIICONNECT24 ON.

Hope this helps.

My wii works but my controler dosent show up on the screen but the buttons work i need help

Usaully,
I don't know about the Wii but I know what happens with the light on the Wii

Green - The Wii Console is on

Yellow - You are connected to Wiiconnect24. It's harsh not to keep the "Yellow" light on because it could overheat the Wii Console. So if it's "Yellow", put your finger on the "Power" Button and keep it there for a long time. When you push it, it will start with Yellow then turn to Green then keep the finger there for a while then will turn to Red

Red - The Wii Console is off

Blue - You are connected to Wiiconnect24. When it turns Blue, It means you are getting a message from the Wii Console or on Standby Mode

The "on" light is always green, even if turned off. Why?

It occurs when your wii in the Standby, but WiiConnect24 is enabled with Standby Connection is enabled. the content can also be received when the Wii is left in standby mode.

WiiConnect24 can be turned on or off via the setup setting. While the console is in standby, the power LED indicates the current status of the standby connection,

  • Red indicating Standby - wiiConnect is off,
  • Yellow indicating Standby - Connect mode is on. If you hold the power button for 3-4 seconds, the Wii goes into standby mode with Standby Connect off. and WiiConnect24 will not operate until the console is turned on.
  • Green ...

I just put the internet on my wii and now when i turn my wii off the light is yellow, not red, and the area where you put the disc in keeps blinking blue.

This is because you have wiiconnect24 turned on. wiiconnect24 keeps your wii in a standby mode so that you can receive messages when you are not playing the wii. When the disc tray is blinking blue this means you have a new message. If you want to turn wiiconnect24 off go into the wii settings menu then wiiconnect24. If you just want to turn the wii off fully then when you want to turn the wii off hold the power button on the wii down until it turns red.

The light on my Wii is red when the console is off.

The red light indicates that WiiConnect24 is off (you aren't online). This typically happens when you unplug the Wii (as opposed to turning it off). You can also go into your settings to select whether or not the Wii should connect to the Internet in both standby and on modes.

Orange light

That means your Wii is in standby mode, not off. It's still connected to Wiiconnect24. When the light is red the Wii is off.
