I have a 60in dlp philps tv come on but no pic.i put a new lamp in but still no pic.

anytime something is taken apart, the reverse procedure invariably leaves something out. recheck everything b4 creating a projectile.

make sure you get original lamp other lamps may draw more current causing interference to power supply old lamp works just aged new lamp will be much brighter make sure its the same wattage.

When you put the old lamp back in did the picture look OK? If so why did you replace to begin with? Yes, there are some poorly manufactured lamps out there, where did you obtain the replacement? Was it true OEM?

If red light stays ON [not blinks at all] denotes a main board fault. SDA-SCK bus line short.

Check to make sure the lamp indicator light its not on - if so the bulb likely needs to be replaed.

YES common fault you need new lamp located behind cover on side or front the front one is a little harder to get to if you have book shows you how.
The model number will be on old lamp look at lamp will be white or blown WHEN GET NEW LAMP DONT TUCH GLASS after replaced pic and sound will be ok

was the lamp blown if it was blown you could be hearing the ballast
if the lamp was not blown and the new one did not fix it the red light indicates the door there is a little switch when you put the door back on if you look at it it may need to be adjusted so it will connect with the door if that is not it you could have a fan that is not turn if it is making a real loud constant humming noise while it trying to fire the lamp you probably have a bad color wheel
