My sony Ericsson xperia arc touch screen has stop working, it seems to have a world of its own, tge screen constantly flickers and I am unable to use the touch screen on it! Its driving me nuts please help

Turn phone off,take battery out and let it cool off like 5 minutes then put it back together and calibrate it and everything thing will be good

touch area too far off screen, cannot get into 'device' option...and it would not calibrate anyway..'.too far from centre point 1.'

Un plug the charger set off
the charger could be faulty,
