I had to split the plastic casings to repair a broken rope.As i opened the casings some parts dropped out, namely two plastic pieces that fit in the rear handle for throttle lock...that is ok.. but uncertain of spring position. The spring has to return the rear handle lock release to normal position. What i need is an exploded diagram of the chainsaw parts showing their positions. At the moment its trial and error until i find the correct spring position. The model is an Australian RYOBI RGS3214A ...14 INCH.. 32 CC ENGINE

Chainsaw runs fine than goes full throttle all by its self and cannot shut it off with switch.

Kill switch is broken or disconnected. Throttle linkage is broken or disconnected or idle is set way too high.

I took apart my new stihl ms 210 the throttle assembly anyway, where does the black wire connect to? there is a red wire connecting to a metal bracket that is coming from the same hole the black one is i...

On the Master Control Lever, you will notice a round reciever on the left side of the lever shaft. This holds the round terminal of the black wire in place. As the lever is rotated upward, the shaft brings the terminal of the black wire into contact with the flat brass spring (which belongs ON TOP of the lever shaft) and thereby stops the engine.
If the throttle trigger is pulled each time the lever is set to choke, this will never again be an issue. However, if the lever is pushed all the way down to choke and the throttle trigger isn't pulled, the linkage will malfunction again.
ALWAYS pull the throttle trigger before you set the choke.

Hope this helps,
Dolf-

When chain saw is starte it goes to full throttle.

You understand there is a fast idle start position? If your saw is new it is triggered when the choke is pulled and remians in this position (even when choke pushed in) until the throttle is advanced once. Read your warm start instructions, it says pull clutch, push clutch, start. This is why we should buy saws from a chainsaw seller/mechanic NOT Home Depot!!!
I made the mistake ONCE of attempting to start mine without the fast idle engaged... my shoulder aches just thinking about it. GL

Crafstman chainsaw at full power when started

If you had this apart, a few things may have happened. First the linkage from carb to throttle trigger maybe jammed between plastic housing or linkage may have come apart and throttle is in the full open position. You'll have to take this apart again and follow the linkage between carb and throttle trigger to ensure all is connected and moving freely and properly. Use care when putting housing back together.
