Cycles continues all day

Hotpoint WML540P 6kg Aquarius is 6months old and the cycles do not seem to stop rather just seems to go on all day. I put a wash in the machine when I left for work at 8am and at 6pm the machine was still going until 8pm when I decided that something must be wrong. Please could you advise what the probelm may be?

Whatever the prob is, my advice to you is to call Hotpoint service for attention.
If you do anything yourself, you will make your guarantee null and void.
As it is only 6 months old, it will not cost you anything to get it put right.
Or ring the Hotpoint help line for advice, you will find the number in your handbook.
Please rate my advice to you.
Thanks.

I may have a similar problem. My washing machine is out of warranty, and I have tried replacing both the sump pump and the water level gauge. My next port of call is the control module (which annoyingly needs programming in situ for this model). The thing that it will cost, of course, is time waiting for the engineer. Saying that, I have now wasted many hours on this problem.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Nicky, try a dry run without a load. Also check if moving to different levels gives you any reading. If not, you have narrowed down where the problem is.

Water in cycles is always cold

You need to check the heating element continuity using a multimeter. If there is continuity then check voltage at the time of the heating , if there is no voltage then the control panel is a suspect including the relay to the coil.

WMA 54 Hotpoint Aquarius washing machine lights flashing

the problem here is the machine is not emptying when its supposed to, you will find it is stopping at the rinse cycles. there is a sump underneath the machine that needs to be emptied. From my experiences, 9 out of 10 hotpoints that i would of repaired with the same problem as you are having is usualy caused by using the color catcher sheets, they are a disaster.

Noisy spin on hotpoint aquarius WF530 6kg washing machine. Suspect bearing how do I replace them.

If you spin the drum by hand, and it is niosy and rumbling then the main drum bearings have failed.
If under 5 years old, then you should be able to get it repaired under Hotpoint 5 year guarantee, You just pay for labour and call out, cheapest option, it is not really a D.I.Y job, as it is quite involved, and entails a lot of work.

Thanks.

Hotpoint w440 washer/dryer keeps repeating cycle load?

Hi there, I've got a Hotpoint Aquarius washer / dryer and this has just started happening to me - it seems to get to the end of the cycle then repeat itself. However, I do not seem to be able to cancel the cycle, or am I able to switch it off. It's been going for about 4 hours now. Any ideas?
