Question about DISH Network IR Remote Control
I have a Dish VIP722DVR receiver.
It is being used with a 6.3 IR / UHF PRO remote control.
My problem seems to be unusual at best, the remote is working, I can operate my TV with it so batteries are good and IR is communicating. When I go to use it with my DVR it seems to stop working unless you place the remote 1-2 inches from the receiver then you can access menus. I have re programmed the remote, changed batteries again, spent a few hours on the phone with tech support (they ruled out IR interference and sent me another reciever which is doing the exact same thing as the original)
This DVR operates a second TV and remote (UHF) which works just fine.
So I am hoping maybe I can find sombody with another approach to this problem.
Thanks in advance.
First the only way the 6.3 will work is if it has the green number 1 on the tab facing you. Assuming this is the case you will need a new remote. This primarily is the remote for the second room away from the receiver. Thanks for using Fix Ya.
