-  DID that F* would not lett me acces safe mode til after i ran  check dics   after that things returned to normal another  work around is program callewd bootsafe it wil also letr ya acees safe mode if you encouter this problem

Hey,
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. Keep pressing F8.
  3. You get various options.
  4. One of them is safe mode.

To fix I ran check dsc on c drive & it took care of the problem for me
