I have iPhone 6&6s..form previous owners..how do I start when it asks for ID's and they can't remember

Generally speaking, you need the Apple ID to reset your iPhone. iPhone needs you to enter the Apple ID to switch off your account and the Find My iPhone service will be turn off. If you are using iTunes to reset your iPhone, you need to enter the Apple ID when your iPhone reboots.

But if you have no Apple ID or passcode, you will have to reset your iPhone without Apple ID. To do this you need first put iPhone into DFU mode and connect it to your iTunes. Your iTunes will help you to reset your iPhone without entering Apple ID easily. Resetting your iPhone with this method will result in wiping all the data in your iPhone.

Step 1: Open iTunes on your computer and connect your iPhone to the computer with a USB cable.
Step 2: After that, turn off you device. Press and hold the Home button for 3 seconds.
Step 3: Put your iPhone into DFU mode: Press and hold the Power and Home button for 10 seconds. Then release the power button and keep holding the home button. When you see the Apple logo disappears, you have successfully put your iPhone into DFU mode.
Step 4: When iTunes detects that your iPhone is in recovery mode, you can restore it now.
Step 5: Click on Restore iPhone. Then you will be notified after the reset and your iPhone will take a restart.

After resetting your iPhone with the guidance mentioned above, you'd better create a new Apple ID and password in time.

In this case, you need the third-party iOS data recovery software to help you recover lost data from iPhone after factory reset without Apple ID.

My iphone has ben inadvertanly locked by passcode, the optus folk have said I have to delete everything through iTunes but I cant get action as I dont have an apple ID or password. plase assist? I don

Hi, there!

You can easily create your own Apple ID here: https://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/

But it seems that your particular iPhone is locked via the former owners Apple ID, which gives you no option other than contacting him and asking to delete this iPhone from his iCloud account.

Best regards,
B

How to delete apple id and password

Maybe you'd use some software called iPhone eraser to delete the Apple ID or password you don't want. You can refer to: iOS Data Eraser for iPhone iPad iPod
PS. Data erased by this software can't be recovered any more. So you'd better make a backup of your iPhone before start the erasing.

Well if this phone is your life, you must have a big problem then. ;)
Connect the iPhone to your computer run iTunes with it, hold the Home & Power Button for 10 Seconds, then release the Power Button, wait till it enters DFU Mode, you should then be able to do whatever you need, another restore, backup etc...

Iphone wont start

Sounds like an internal fuse that Apple has in place to protect against overcharging ...... been there ... have that t-shirt ....

Since it is still under warranty, they obviously feel that you have voided the warranty ... by say, "unlocking" the iPhone ....... been there too .....

Somebody should be able to replace that fuse ... Apple can ....
