The red tringle light is on. What is wrong?

This triangle means that the toner supply is needed. It comes first as a steady triangle meaning toner is running low and eventually flashing triangle which means toner is completely empty and copy cannot run. There are two methods of replacing toner ;
Refilling and cartridge replacing.
  • You can refill by opening the waste container and then removing the lid on the unit. Use a sprout provided in Sharp Al1000 toner bottle or improvise by folding a paper into a funnel shape.
  • For cartridge , pullout the old cartridge and replace with a Sharp Al100td cartridge.
Nice time.

After replacing the drum cartridge the copier still wont copy and the drum light is still on.

To reset the drum light on your AL1000 press the following key's in sequence and as quickly as possible (with 4 seconds for the first 4 keys)
Press "C" then the far left key (exposure mode) then the "C" key then the far left again.
So in other words C, far left, C, far left
If done correctly the display should go blank.
Then key in 24 as if you were going to make 24 copies.
Now press the "print" button
Now key in 7 as if you were making 7 copies
Now press the print button again.
You should now be getting flashing zero's on the display.
Turn the machine off then on again and your drum light should be gone!
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Copy darkness problem canon image runner 2830

Hi,
Did you try to clean beneath the copy glass?
On digital machines, when the copy glass or optics are dirty, copy becomes verry light.

How many copies do you have? pres 123 button.
It also could be that you need to change the toner station, by the book it goes 300000 copies.
But I bet on dirty copy glass and dirty scanner assy.Clean the glass with glass cleaner and polish it with dry cloth.

In my ir3300 xerox in very light

That means that you have to clean copy glass , lenses, ccd,...maybe even laser unit if you know how.
On digital machines dirty optics means light copy, on analog oposite, dirty optics dark copies.

Just one more question how do you mean " charge toner"?

Sharp AR168D won't copy

There are small mirrors on the copy lamp, wipe with a clean dry soft cloth. Remove the drum unit and wipe upper part where the drum unit was and make sure the area is clean.

Sharp ar155n poor copy quality

Your machine is making an uneven copy, the cause of this problem sometimes is on the optics inside the platen mirror, try to clean the mirror and the lens with a dry soft cloth. With dusty environment optics is easily filled with dust making the copy very light on one side. But after you clean and still uneven copy occur , the problem is now on the laser scanning unit , the LSU is also dirty or dusty , you should call the authorized technician to clean the LSU , cleaning of LSU is not easy because it takes a lot of covers and units to be disassembly.

Copy quality always light

Are you using a genuine OEM Sharp toner and drum? The paper pick-up rollers could use a good cleaning. Try a little WD 40 on a cotton cloth and clean the d shaped rollers. Also the feed clutch could be sticking. You have to take the back covers off to see the clutch. Clean and put some light grease on it. Easy parts to order and not expensive.
