Incorrect resistors on DP1X PWB?

I am in the process of repairing a DP1X convergence PWB on a Hitachi 43UWX10B. Postings I have read point to this board (TV won't turn on).
I will be replacing the Convergence IC's, (STK392-110) with the newest replacement (STK394-160E). Before doing so, I decided to check the values of resistors RK42, RK46, RK50, RK54, RK58, and RK62 to see if they were still in spec. All were well within 5% tolerance of their marked values, however, my board has a 2.7ohm resistor installed in RK50 when it should be a 3.3 and it also has a 1.5ohm resistor installed in RK54 rather than 1.8. These incorrect components deviate from original by 21% and 17%, respectively. Is this significant? Should I replace them with spec'd values or would swapping them out cause something else to need readjustment, or simply not make a difference?
Thanks.

Assuming this unit was never worked on and it was actually working properly before the IC's decided to take a vacation I would recommend leaving them alone as there may have been an engineering change after the service manual was printed.

The problem was the same as I just read. looks 3D cannot align colors.

Thats a common problem caused by failed convergence ICs and possibly their associated resistors may need replacement. Your model is the DP14G chassis you can get the DP14G convergence repair kit from www.tvrepairworld.com which has the instructions included.

I need to find the value of rx50 rx54 rx58 on hitichi dp1x convergence board

The DP1X was used in various Hitachi Models and those resistors have different ratings depending on the Model number. Post your model number and I can list the ratings for those resistors for you. Also do you mean RK50, RK54 and RK58 as those are convergence resistors board location prefixes that usually get blown. Double check the Prefixes.

Manual Convergence adjustment on Hitachi 43UWX10B

I would guess you missed a open resistor--there are only about 12 of them--how did you check them?

This set (43uwx10b) has a tiny blue micro switch on the front of the chassis---if you engage it from the front the set will go into the DECAM or convergence mode--let me know the CLU number on your original remote and I will scan and paste instructions---98% of the time if the set is wacked out and will not adjust one of the resistors is gone---ONE OF THE CHIPS GETS THEM.

As stated in your response to another person (Hitachi 43UWX10B)

Your post didn't get attached to the message in which you read the 'fix' for your set so the person who helped, will likely never see it.
You might try re-entering your brand/model info and sort through the results to find the original message.

Need schematic for Convergence PWB of Hitachi

Your TV most likely has one or more possible problems.

Problem #1: Convergence Chip Failure ( common problem )

Here are some of the most common symptoms and example photos of a convergence problem

  • Screen looks 3D
  • Colors don't line up
  • One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
  • Screen is bowed or warped.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kits for most models. If you don't see a kit for your set send them a quick note and they will put one together for you. Their kits include a photo instruction guide, original OEM Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, pico fuses, etc.

Problem #2 CRT Fluid is Cloudy

Projection TV tubes have a liquid coolant that is used to keep them from overheating. After many years the coolant in the blue and green tubes will become cloudy and cause the screen to look dull, red/orange, etc. You may even see halos aroundimages.

Picture of a set that needs the fluid changed.

What you will need to do is replace the coolant and clean the crt. You can get a repair kit from www.TvRepairKits.com that includes replacement coolant, photos. instructions, etc.

Zenith R60v26 has burnt resistor at RK5 on convergence board

Hello, I have the exact same issue with my R49W36, I replaced the convergence chips but there are also two 1 ohm resistors with the same color pattern as yours that are bad. I have looked all over and cannot find a 1 ohm resistor anywhere. Where did you find it?
