My Sansa e260 Player when connected to the PC, never showing up the menu. Each time sandisk logo coming and going with blank screen. This pattern repeats and never showing the menu. Can anybody help me to resolve this issue.

After installation connect your sansa...... Also make sure you are connected to a 2.0 usb the back of the computer is best (the motherboard)....
mode located on the sansa if asked to change to MSC goto menu press
enter scroll to settings press enter scroll to usb mode press enter
scroll to msc press enter press menu.....Connect should auto start sansa

sounds like a firmware program problem and will have to be replaced. You could download an updated firmware but you will have to get a pc connection.
After your device is plugged in, are you able to go to
"my computer" and see a drive folder that has your device on it.
To obtain the driver for your sandisk device go to http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/index.asp and find the driver for your device..and then connecct the device on the back of your computer...it should work properly..if you are still having any problems..let me know..i would be more than happy to assist you.. Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Also, have you gone to Windows Media Player 11 and tried to sync it?
When you plug the Sansa in, Vista should recognize and the Sansa should show connected. XP should do the same thing.

In the manual it shows that the 4gb is the Sansa e260; is that what you have?
Try this and I hope it helps:
Switch your Sansa E260 to its Recovery Mode:
1. Make sure the player is powered off
2. Enable the "Hold" switch (located on the top of the player). You would know it's enabled when you see the "orange-colored" surface
3. Press the "Record" button. Make sure you keep it pressed while pressing on the "Menu" button.
4. keep your fingers pressed on these 2 buttons until the E260 LCD screen displays "Welcome to Recovery Mode"
5. Connect your E260 to your computer. (Just a reminder: The minimum Operating System requirements for a Sansa E200 player is Windows XP and above)
6. Double-click on "My Computer" and you would see your Sansa E260 appear as a "16 MB" drive. Note: If you do not see that "16 MB" drive/partition, please repeat steps 1-6.
Next, Apply the firmware for the E260 (your player should be connected to your PC at this time):
Use this link to download the firmware for your Sansa E260 (for better results, please save this file on your "Desktop":
Double left-click on the downloaded file, and follow the on-screen prompts. The file will automatically re-flash your player and format it as well, thereby clearing all possible file/system corruptions that may have occurred.
When the process is complete, unplug your E260 from your computer, and please make sure you disable the "Hold" switch
Power up your E260 and 90-99% of the time, it would boot up successfully.
