Question about SanDisk 2GB microSD Memory Card

1 Answer

Can only put 164 songs on 2gb micro sd card

I have a 2gb micro sd card and can only fit 164 songs on it. I bought another card thinking something was wrong with the first and it did the same thing.

After searching different forums and search engines for hours, I finally solved my own problem. I took all the songs I wanted to put on the card (356) and put them in a folder. Then I transferred the folder to the card. It worked fine and I'm listening to them right now.

Format the card first and check if its 2 gb still. now compress your songs with the software mp3toringtonegold. now you can load more than 1000 songs depending upon your compressions. but compression can reduce the quality of the sound.

You should try to copy your music/files to your computer and format your SD Card. After that, copy your music/files back to the SD Card.

No, Im Sorry But Adaptors Are Incapable Of Holding Memory, And You Shouldn't Take Out The Micro SD Before You Remove The SD Card, You Should Also Try Putting In The Micro SD Card And Going To Tools And Enter Into The Memory Option And Selecting Card, Then Using The Options Button Format It, Then Put It Back Into You Computer And Save All Your Songs To The Folder Named my_music This Should Work, And Just So You Know The Phone Will Not Play All Of The Songs That You Put On It For Some Reason, Its Some Formatting Conflict The Songs Can Be In .wma Format Or .mp3 not .mp4 or any other types.

How do I get songs on my micro SD card?

the small card fits in to the biggerones to transfer files from your phone to your computer or a photo station.( like at walmart) where you insert the card and print photos. AS to getting music on it i have found the easiest way is once installed in your phone go to i tunes and down load them. or you can search songs on yahoo mobile as mp3 and save them to the card as well.

If the 4gb micro SD is a high capacity SD (it will say micro SDHC on it) your player may not be able to read SDHC cards, my sansa can't because it's the 'older version' it will read 2gb and below micro SD cards though (it sucked when I found out because I had just bought a 6gb micro SDHC)
