You have to see if you see any broken wire on it,also there should be a fuse on the top left side of the heater box at might be bad,let me know what you find-mike

you really need a meter (omns)to check the element and fuse, the fuse will not burn it just pops inside, you can do a quick test, remove both wires from the fuse, tape them together with black tape and see if the dryer works, its ok to bypass the fuse just for a test, let me know-mike

No heat/Only works on one setting

This caused by one of two possible things. Either you have poor air flow, or a clogged vent preventing air from flowing freely and therefor making the dryer short cycle, which in turn will take you two or three times to dry yor clothes, or the heating element has gone bad, burnt in half and is making contact with the case to provide it just enough power to barely heat. The second thing is a very rare occurance. I would turn the dryer on, find out where the air vents out to, and with the dryer running, go to where it vents and check to see if there is a strong flow of air. 9 times out of 10 that is going to be your problem. Another way to check air flow is to just pull the vent off the back and let the dryer run and see if your clothes dry faster. If you do it that way and they still take a long time to dry, then you'll probably need to replace the heating element

I have a Roper gas dryer (RGS7646KQ2) which is not heating up to dry clothes. The drum turns and the timer works as well. It appears to be acting normally, except it is blowing cold air instead of warm...

You have a bad thermostat, flame sensor, thermal fuse, gas valve solenoids, or the high limit thermostat. Below is a video to walk you thru the diagnostic testing and repair.

Our dryer does not blow hot air? The cloths do not

more than likely the heating element has gone out. if your clothes have no heat then the element is the most likely cause. you can get one for anywhere between $30 - $50. you'll need to know model and serial #'s. usually easy to replace.

Will not dry clothes, blows cold air.

need brand.most dryers have thermal fuse that protect the element from going bad.I would first check your breaker and make sure it isnt tripped.a dryer will run but not heat if breaker is tripped.

Warm air but clothes not drying

Make sure u have seleced the high heat setting..The fact that it is heating more or less indicates that the element is o/k.
Check and clean any filter(s) that u can see,it is more likely to be a thermostat problem than anything else. and there are at least 2 of them, also check line voltage is correct.
Plz rate this solution.
thanks.

Most common cause of this is a clogged venting going to the outside to test this remove the vent from the back of the dryer and run a load if it drys ok them you know you have a venting issue and will need to be cleaned out if not plz repost and we can look deeper into it

Dryer not drying

Check your lint filter. Put it under running water to see if the water goes through it. Chances are it is clogged up. Wash it and put it back. Should do the trick.
