There is that possibility that your device has abandoned you :-(

Please check your power supply to see that it is in fact putting out.

If the power supply is putting out and there is no light activity on the router, replace it.

No internet connection?

The best way is to get a data cable and connect directly to the laptop. Your laptop should recognize the router and prompt you to make this your wireless device. Once through the setup you can unplug the cable and you should be set for wireless again. The one other thing to check is make sure the wireless button on the computer is on. Mine is on the front but I have seen them all over. Check the latter first.

Connect to network wirelessly with in 20 feet when go down to second floor network indicates no internet , but it can find router , run network trouble shooter but not much , dell has not helped ...

Hello
Signal is either too weak or something is causing it to drop out.You can try a reboot of the router.
If this doesnt work then you may need to get a wireless switch to pick up the signal from the first floor to the second.Which will need to be located in an open area like stairs.Metal decking and flouresent lights can cause the signal to drop.

Or you can buy a cable and hardwire it.Or a stronger router with a better signal.

When i put the wireless on it doesnt pick the signal or light the wi-fi system.

Hello Guest, typically (not always) when the laptop doesn't pick up the signal you need only to reboot your ISP's router and the wireless router and the pc to make it work. I remember it in my head as 3,2,1. Let me explain.

I turn everything off the pc and router or routers if you have two. Wait three mins and turn on only the router or modem that your ISP (ex: fios or time warner) gave you. Then turn on your wireless router and wait two mins. Then finally turn on your pc and wait a min. 321 :) . If that doesn't help there is a pinhole in the back of the wireless router press and hold that button for ten seconds the lights on the front typically stay constant for a few seconds then go off. That should get you going.

Linksys Wireless-G2.4 GHz Broadband that my laptop doesnn't recog

You will need to check the wireless settings of the router
is there any computer connected to the router ?
If yes then you can open the router set up page on that computer.
Router set up page is the page where you can check all the wireless settings of the router.

If that doesn't work then upgrade the firmware of the router.
Firmware is the software of the router. After upgrading the firmware, it is recommended that you should reset the router and reconfigure the router.

Can no longer pick up router signal

Does the wireless light still lit on the router? You can try changing the channel on the router (1 6 or 11) ans moving the antenna. If those things did not work upgrade the firmware of the router and reset to factory default. Do not forget to save the configuration file before you reset to factory default.
