Question about Quartet gbc QRT670S Wall or Ceiling Projection Screen, 70x70, Matte White Screen/Black Matte Casing Projector Screen

Open Question

I have quartet projection screen mounted on a wall over a counter. Is there a way to adjust the cam so that the screen bottoms out at the counter. Right now, it is either too short or too long.

SOURCE: My quartet projection screen will not go back up.

The problem is most likely a damaged spring end cap. As you face the screen from the front, this is the cap that covers the right end of the cylinder that encloses the screen material. The cap is held in place by 3 Phillips head screws. If you remove the spring end cap, you will see a slot in it that is designed to hold the spring assembly stationary as you pull down on the screen. If this slot is damaged, then the internal spring inside the roller will lose tension. The fix is to pull out the screen & roller assembly, roll it back up manually, then replace the spring end cap with a new one. (I believe the part # from Quartet Apollo is K0329). The cap at the other end has a cup receiver designed to accept the pin end that is on the left side of the cylinder that houses the screen material. The tricky part is fitting the pin end back into the pin end end cap. It is easier with 2 people. If you fashion a short hook out of a coat hanger. you can use it to lift the pin end into the pin end cap. There are part #'s and exploded diagrams on the Pegasus part sales website: The site is down now for maintenence, but it should be back up soon. HTH

I subscribed just to say thanks a million, Mr. umright!!!

I thought I ruined my screen even before properly installing it, but your leather belt trick was pure genius! It took a little effort, but I was able to make my screen roll up again without dismantling it!

Projection Screen Tip

When mounting a screen on or near a wall, consideration must be given to items such as marker boards, maps, and pictures that will be placed on the wall behind the screen. Be sure to leave enough clearance behind the screen surface to eliminate the possibility of damage.

My Model TV # is 51swx20B. Two days ago the picture started having a lot of green in it and no blue. What is the repair needed.

Do adjustments on focus block. Will have to open front panel access door, focus block blue will be on left, green will be on top. Top screen bottom focus. Turn clockwise to increase, counter clockwise to decrease brightness. Turn the color all the way down on menu where it's pure black and white and make adjustments for perfect black and white picture, then when you adjust color, it will be perfect.

I have an ULPT-X Omni Mount that I will be using with a Samsung 65" LED. How do I mount the ULPT-X to make sure that the exact center of the TV will be in the center of the wall space it will be hung on. ...

What do you mean by centered on the top and bottom? It doesn't need to be centered in the exact part of the wall for the tv. it all depends on what your viewing height is for where you want the tv vertically. Once you figure that out you mount it where you want it for your personal viewing preference.
Thank you,

Screen turn green tv is 57 rear projection

Good Day,
It appears that you may have a green drive issue. Try adjusting the Sreen Control it is located in the front of TV.
1) Remove Speaker Grill (it just pulls off) start at one end, 2) Remove cover (5-6 screws), 3) Adjust control. The control is located on lower right side towards bottom. A small black device with 2 rolls of controls, adjust the center control on bottom row counter clock wise, until you get a black and white picture.(adjust with color control to min).
If this does not work you light bulb (CRT) is bad about a $750.00 repair.

Good Luck, Big Irish.

Horizontal blue lines with a slight blue wash in the screen

Its because of Over Voltage of Screen (G2) to Blue CRT.
Take off front lower cover (speaker grill) and unscrew board. There you will need to find Focus Block mounted having 6 control knobs. 3 knobs are for Focus control and 3 are for Screen volts control. Find Blue Screen control knob and turn is Counter Click Wise slightly until bluish shade disappear on screen including few blue horizontal lines.
If you select AV input to adjust that will be fine as you do not need to wait for dark-scene.
