Hi

this is quite easy fix. The 2nd monitor or 2nd output needs to be activated,
Are you available now? I think this would be solved easiest over remote support and I could find and enable the setting for you instead of guessing where it is in your model.

http://www.fastsupport.com/102466641
The above link will start the remote support session, if the session doesn't start automatically then try the manually download link at the bottom of the page.

If asked the support key is 102 466 641 without spaces.

This will work for around 1 hour.

Thanks, I'll be waiting.

From your laptops keyboard, try to press Fn first and F7( some laptop uses F6 for media options) key to set your viewing of your choice.

If not resolve, kindly give me the brand name of your laptop...hope this helps to resolve the problem

Hi,
It seems that laptop is set on high display resolution that is not compatible for multimedia projector.
Reduce picture resolution on laptop, right click on desktop>>select display properties>>video settings.
Thanks.

Projector SONY VPLCS!

I had the same problem with a Sony VPL CS1. It's not the mainboard, but the blue filter - cost to repair runs around $500 US.
Hope that helps.

Hi there

You should first check if there is any visible damage on your lamp. If not then it could be a faulty Ballast ( lamp powersupply )

Sony VPL-CS4 projector

Denis, by default laptops usually output only to their own lcd panel. There must be a key combination on your laptop wich rotates output in 3 steps: lcd panel only, lcd + TV (projector), TV only. The key combination uses a special Function key (FN) usually blue (found near left Ctrl key)with one of the numeric keys. So, first make sure your laptop output is correct and then try input key on your projector.

No image when Windows loads up, image OK before the windows starts

Hi there

Check that your resolution on your PC matches that of your Projector.

i.e : If your Projector is XGA ( 1024x768 ) that should be the resolution of your PC as well.

To change your resolution on your PC simply right click on your desktop and go to properties and then settings. You'll see the resolution bar in the middle.

Horizontal Green Lines!

Hi Tim

I've seen this many times. Only way to get rid of it is to replace the Mainboard.

This will get worse as time goes by.
