Re: E4

Try changing the battery and reloading the film. You can try emailing fuji as well. If these don't work take it to your local camera store to send away for repair, or a new digital camera.

Re: E4

E-4 is an error code for the camera technician. the repair does not worth the money.

With what can i cover a polaroid flash

The Polaroid 600 doesn't have an automatic flash. To use the flash, insert the flash bar into the flash socket. To turn off the flash, remove the flash bar. Refer to the manual.
If you have a different camera, please reply to this post and give the model number.

How do I set the mode

Sorry, but there are no modes on the Kodak Cameo Focus Free 35mm. It's exactly what it is, a very basic 35mm point and shoot model. Even the shutter speed and aperture are fixed according to the film speed selected. Other than the provision of the flip up flash (turned on by using the flash switch and off by using the same switch or by closing the flash) your camera is absolutely as simple as it gets.

Perhaps if you explain exactly what you're trying to do with your camera I can provide further assistance, or perhaps you have a different make and model altogether?

I have a Pentax IQZoom 160 and it has error code U3 when I turn it on. The flash and zoom try to deploy several times but only the flash comes out.

If the 'U' disappears when the zoom lever is moved your camera is ready to use. It may be defective if it comes up often.

How do i use the mode setting to insure quality pictures in gloomy weather conditions

Something we have all been wrestling with over the years, LOL.
quality pictures in gloomy weather conditions ? I suggest using the flash as often as you can in those conditions, and get yourself a tripod.
When the skies turn grey, there's less light, so the camera keeps the shutter open longer, which means more likelihood of a blurred image due 2 camera movement. Flash use speeds up the shutter, but will use more battery power. Another issue: with 100 ASA film, the flash is only good for about 12 feet. Distance improves with higher ASA film, but quality suffers due to film grain.

How do you turn on flash

There should be a button with a picture of a lightning bolt. When you press it, it should cycle through your flash choices.

Won't take picture though I replaced battery.

Even though it was cushioned somewhat the camera took enough damage to jam something. The flashing symbols are a generic error code it could mean the shutter, zoom, film transport, flash, or some combination of these system are not working (sorry but without tearing the camera apart I can't narrow the problem any further)

U4--what does this mean?

U1-U9: these are technician codes indicating that there is a malfunction in the zoom mechanism of your camera, most likely electronic in nature - a defective IC chip and/or bad circuit board. Repair cost would easily exceed the value of the camera. You should be aware that, just as with today's small digital cameras, both mechanics and electronics of smaller point-and-shoot 35mm cameras consist for the most part of light-duty plastic and fragile electronics. If they last a couple of years they're doing well.
