Question about Refrigerators
I am assuming this is not a newly installed fridge and that you replaced the icemaker unit because it stopped working... If this IS a new install I must ask the maybe not so obvious question... is there a water line connected to the water port on the back of it? The following are comments straight out of the manual:
Is the supply shutoff valve turned on? Connect refrigerator to water
supply and turn water shutoff valve fully open.
Kink in the water source line? A kink in the line can reduce
water flow. Straighten the water source line.
Ice maker turned on? Make sure wire shutoff arm or switch
(depending on model) is in the ON position.
New installation? Wait 24 hours after ice maker installation
for ice production to begin. Wait 72 hours for full ice
If all of these conditions have been met and you still get no ice after 24 hrs, we will need to perform some basic electrical tests (is it getting power?)
Hope this info is helpful... ;-)
