Red (Rapidly Flashing), The Base Unit is paging handsets. (KX-TGP-500 only). Amber(Solid), The Base Unit's IP address may conflict with the IP addresses of ..
replace the right rear bulb. the quick flashing indicates a bad bulb. it could be a wiring problem to the rear for the signal light that you will have to check out starting at the socket and working forward.
A red light indicates the charger is charging the battery, an amber light means it has switched from fast rate charging to trickle to keep the battery topped off, and green would mean the battery is completely charged. But don't be fooled waiting for green, many times the charger will only be on green for a moment before changing to amber and keeping the battery topped off.
Flashing can be a sign of a problem on some chargers.
A rapid flashing red can on some chargers indicate a bad or shorted battery, or a bad battery contact in the charger itself. If in question, try a different battery on the charger or compare with another charger to determine if the blinking is normal.
First, try and take out the battery and start the computer with just the power adapter. If the power adapter is still blinking, replace the power adapter. If the computer turns on with just the power adapter, replace the battery.
If the battery status light rapidly flashes amber, the battery may be defective. Purchase a replacement battery from Dell.
If the power supply status light flashes, the power supply may be defective. Purchase a replacement power supply.
Hope this a Homelink. Put new batt in garage door remote. Park outside garage. #(1) Press & hold 2 outer buttons on Homelink. Release ONLY after light starts to flash. Don't hold for longer than 30 sec. Don't repeat to program the other 2. #(2) Hold the remote 3 inches from Homelink. #(3) Press & hold the Homelink buttom & the remote button at the same time. #(4)The Homelink will begin to flash slowly then rapidly. After the Homelink flashes rapidly release the buttoms. #(5) Press the just trained Homelink button if the light stays on constantly, programming is complete..... To program the other 2 links DO NOT REPEAT #1
Those buttons are for you to be able to program your garage door opener so that you don't need to have to original clipped to your visor all the time. The procedure is this:
1) put the key in ignition in postition 2 (car not running)
2) hold down both homelink buttons on the outsides of the homelink transmitter (to reset any existing codes) you might have to do it for 20-30 seconds. Red light on homelink will flash rapidly then let go. 3) Now, with the garage remote in one hand and hold the button on the homelink you want to program (keep holding homelink until it pulses, not a rapid flash, takes about 20 sec.) While it is pulsing, hold down the garage opener as close to the homeling button as possible while depressing door opener button also.
Shortly after doing this you will see the homelink start to flash rapidly (this means it is learning the code).
- let go of both buttons once it is flashing rapidly and
4) go to motor of door opener and hit the learn button (a light should turn on)
5)return to the car a press the homelink button you programmed once, twice, or maybe up to three times until you see garage door open/close. You may need to have someone help you with this procedure.
