The only way you can charge it if you get some self tapping service port. You can get them at an a/c supply house.

Evaparator line ices up past the orffice

sounds like you need to go to walmart and buy some air-conditioner refrigerant. Walmart is cheaper than the car places. You can buy the can with a guage and hose and hook it up to your low pressure line on your airconditioner line. Make sure not to overfill !

Dometic roof top rv airconditioner is not pulling any water out of the air based on condensate run-off. Is this a sign of low coolant? If so - are these types of air conditioners equiped to be re-charged...

The system is not equipped to be recharged. However there are several options to add a service port to the system. If you are staying cool there is probably no need to add refrigerant.

Rooftop a.c for 1991 motorhome condesation hose where is it?

If you are able to remove the cover. You will find on some units that the pan where the water goes, is also part of the condenser coils, what they did was take advantage of the heat produced and simply evaporated the water, I hope this is the case for you.
Let me know.

2003 chevy impala - airconditioner charged 2 weeks ago, cooled ok

How do you know for sure you need a recharge of refrigerant again?

If this is the case, then you probably have a leak. If you had just recharged, probably the caps to the valves are too loose, allowing the refrigerant to escape, as has found to be a common encounter, according to this very hand, diagnostic article:

This should help.

Air will not come on

hmmm..sounds like an amperage issue..what's the rating on those units. other plugging in at your place, is most likely hitting an invertor, which needs enough juice on back end to power those..check with the previous owner to determine what they did
