Question about Sony ICD-P28 Digital Voice Recorder
I took the advice of one of your correspondents by connecting my Sony ICD-SX365 recorder to my iMac with a simple audio cable by inserting the output jack in the recorder's slot for headphones and the input jack in the iMac's slot for microphones. I used the freeware program Audacity to import the track onto the computer and Switch to convert the file to mp3.

Najaw hit it right on the head. Using the miniplug connector from the recorder's headphone jack to the microphone input jack on the iMac, you can also record with Quicktime Pro and with Photo Booth. There is no way to monitor the audio prior to and when you are recording. Hit the record button and check the playback on the recorded file. I was amazed to find my mini-recorder's audio! If you don't hear anything, make sure you have the right inputs under sound in your system preferences. -Gerry
