Question about IBM ThinkPad 770 Notebook
Sounds like the switch that tells the cpu when it's open or closed is going bad. On most laptops there is a little switch that protrudes from your keyboard (usually in upper corners). Try cleaning it with isopropyl alchol(rubbing alchol) and a q-tip and see what happens. If you can't locate the switch on your model get back to me and i'll research a little deeper for you.
