Question about LG CHOCOLATE VX8500 Cellular Phone
My Chocolate LG cell phone was working fine until earlier today, when I received an incoming call. I answered but could not hear anything, nor could i hear myself. I can make calls and receive calls, but the phone is silent. I have checked the mute options, but that doesnt appear to be the problem. any suggestions?
Sometimes there might just be lint or something in the headset port. Try taking some canned air and blow it out or take a headset and plug it in and out a few times.

The same thing was happening with my phone, turn your phone off, then take out the battery then put the battery back in and turn your phone on it should have sound and should be working correctly.

I'm having the same problem on my phone. LG 9900. Tech support told me to buy a new phone. But my friend had the same problem just a day before mine did. Tech support told her to dial *228 and then push 1. You can't hear anything but the phone is updating. It will restart after its done. Worked for her but not me. Maybe it will help.

I also had this problem but had no compressed air so I used a toothpick and it works now.
